Babel_Triumphant
I love Inquisitor Karamazov's model and fluff. Having him lead ranks of sisters into battle backed up by raining missiles from exorcists just seems awesome, and it would be a welcome change in HQ after using Celestine so awesome. There's only one problem though - he's not in our book. To me, it makes no sense. He's an Ordo Hereticus guy, why is he in the Ordo Malleus book? What I'm try to ask is, could I get away with running him in my sisters army? Also, anyone who has experience with him, how good is he? I was planning on running him with a small bodyguard of crusaders. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/268320-inquisitor-karamazov/ Share on other sites
*Furyou Miko
Sure, you can take Karazamov. As part of a Grey Knight allied detachment. Can you take him as part of a Sisters of Battle detachment? No. Why would you be able to? He's an Inquisitor, not a Sister of Battle or member of the Ecclesiarchy. Edit: Toned down the knee-jerk hostility to yet another incorrect suggestion that Sisters of Battle are Inquisitorial troops. Id imagine inquisitors get the silent treatment when they turn up to a convent trying to boss the Canoness around ,that part of the sisters history was C:WH every other fluff we had pretty much had us as a stand alone not guns for hire. we are run and supported by the church whilst keeping an eye on them.Any servants in the Emperor's Holy Domain found wanting gets BBQ'd by meltas/flamers ,turned into arco's or if your really bad gets to have a one way ride in a Penitent Engine..... If you wanted to have fluff to support it you could have a Confessor leading a crusade with karamazov to keep a eye on the decree (No Men at arms)hence why the Sisters are the main fighting force .Not that it matters we only have 1 Troop choice and dont have Frateris Militia or Zealots anymore.. Dont worry about that Ordo Malleus book its fluff is a abomination any way... sgt campbell
I used him in the last codex to unlock assassins and he was brilliant!! Tough as old boots and reliable! I'm thinking of taking him again with some termies as troops with a vindicar sniper for anti tank. But I would rather take the saint since she's so cheap. Jacinda
He may have been in an older codex but so were Space Marines, Redemptionists, Zealots, Storm Troopers, Land Raiders, Temple Assassins and quit a few other things I don't remember right now. Karamazov is not part of our current codex but he is part of the Grey Knight codex so it is possible to take him unlike other things that have been cut over the years. But you can't go cherry picking through all the codices and claim it is a Sister of Battle army. On the other hand, whatever you and your friends decide to do is always the final word. So instead of asking us you should be asking them. Personally I'm glad the Inquisition is out of the codex now so I will be a bit biased but your friends way not care one bit about the army's fluff and may not see any problem with using Karamazov at all. RookBartly
Well the thing about the GW Exorcist model is that when you buy it, you are also getting the complete Immolator kit with it. You are getting the option of fielding a rhino, Immolator, OR an exorcist. What I end up doing is using the Immolator bits to convert my rhinos into Immolators. I own 2 Immolator kits and 3 GW exorcisms. I can now field 5 Immolators if I wanted. And with my store trying to get an apoc game going, I will be needing them... Well the thing about posting on fistmas is your propably so "wined" up you post on the wrong topic. Anyway. I love the model but as I failed to buy it when it was metal I'm sceptic of it, modelwise. . . .OK It would be my first "fine"cast model and as I myself have done resin casting for a good six years now my tolerance of casting mishaps is close to zero. Seriously I'm finecast sellers worst nighmare.... I hope my LGS pacs a dozen of them. *Furyou Miko
Heh, if there ever was a model in need of the Finecast treatment, it's the GW Exorcist. Seriously, you could put windows out with it. It probably deserves a Concealed Carry licence.
