How to assemble Sevrin Loth's honour guard

Alright, so I am currently assembling Sevrin Loth and his four honour guards, and can't figure out for the life of me how to attack their power axes. The axes are the type of item that have a hand attached to the shaft. In the entire kit, there is not a single arm that ends at the wrist, they all have bolt pistols, are pointing or are meant to cradle the end of a bolter.

If anyone has assembled them, can they tell me how they managed to do so? Thanks in advance.

Maybe there's a part of the kit missing? I'd find it strange that they didn't include a hand-less option for the axes...

Maybe they want me to chop the hands, like tac marine bolters? Because everything else seems to be there, and the website shows the arm being plastic, not resin...all the plastic bits are from the standard honour guard kit.

Lorenzen is correct; FW models aren't as easy to work with as GW plastic kits (they are supposed to be "advanced", but I prefer take that to mean "requires patience").

However, cutting off plastic marine hands isn't too tricky if you have a nice sharp blade. You can use the straight edge of the "cuff" as a guide.

Just saw this thread and was wondering are loth's shoulder pads separate. Had an idea about using him as a rune priest and would need to change them.

Thanks in advance :)

The shoulder pads were, in fact, separate.

Good thing, too, because the forgeworld-assembled sevrin loth had them on the wrong sides, and the red scorps are codex-compliant (his chapter symbol is on the left in that picture; librarians should have it on the right)

Uh... I'm fairly certain that Chapter insignia always go on the left on power armour...

Not on Librarians, Chaplains, Techmarines, Apothecaries or Deathwatch.

Actually, W0lfie, you're wrong on that count. The specialists in Codex Chapters wear the Chapter insignia on the left shoulder pad, the same as non-specialists. The only exception to that is if they are wearing Mk 6 armor with the studded shoulder pad. Check the GW main site and look at the specialists. The Deathwatch wear it on the right because they wear the Deathwatch pad on the left.
