25th Anniversary Models

Seahawk

Recommended Posts

I painted up the two anniversary models for my brother this Christmas. He started in 2nd edition with his good friend, which is then how I got into it. His friend passed away a few years ago due to an allergy problem, so this is a nice way of remembering him. I then used the program cover from Games Day and the cover for the Crimson Fists model as a background piece to frame it. Overall, I like how it turned out, and he enjoyed it, so huzzah!

Even though they were the army that got me into the hobby as a pup, I can't help but wince at the old BA color scheme. Soooo bright. :)

But it wouldn't be a proper tribute without hefty doses of yellow, and the CF is badass as it always was. Kudos to your painting sir.

Thanks for all the compliments! I get all nostalgic and fuzzy when I see the old paint schemes done well, so this was a treat for me as well. :D

Indeed :P Nice work Seahawk!

Who says the Eighties/early Ninties weren't cool? :D It is easy to forget that the Blood Angels had such a bright colour scheme though! :nuke:
