So, I was curious. The Wolf Priest model in the codex isent avalable to buy anywhere so I wonderd, What do you all use as your Wolf Priest when you use one? I tend to use one of my Rune Priests (I bought my army second hand and it has 2 Rune Priests, The onewith the axe that you can buy still, And one with a sword) but I would like a better Wolf Priest model..

My first was built using a mix of an old chaplain model, a chainaxe, Azrael's combi-plas, and some random Wolf bits. The second is a mix of parts from the SW terminator box and some Grey Knight apothecary pieces. The third started as a combi-melta Sternguard, with some green stuff and parts from the Space Wolf multipart kits. Don't have them with me, so no pictures.

If you search ebay for "gamesday wolf priest" you'll usually see atleast one at all times, though their price seems to have skyrocketed since I last bought one.

He's on here somewhere but I can't find the thread. This guy's wolf priest w/ jump pack has me completely enamored.

Yeah, I love posting after someone so gifted... :(.

In any event if you have the coin I suggest the FW Minotaur Chaplain. Here is what mine looks like with one or two other bits...

And notice the Crozius Arcanum. The shaft is a back bone and the head just has the Minotaur horns shaved off and the eyes widened a bit..

Now I'm really tempted to go dark blue/grey rather than grey. Curses for being so indecisive.

Wow, thanks for all the replies! Nice to see and hear what other people do for their Wolf Priests. ^_^ I'm thinking of getting Ulrik the Slayer and using him as a normal Wolf Priest, Since I dont realy use special characters much but like his model.

As wolves, we kinda get away with ''anything with a crozius'' for wolf priests, with our priests not differing too much from the style of our other characters. Its all wolf pelts, wolf skulls and wolf teeth.

Be aware though, as the FAQ now defines the crozius as a mace, you'd probably want to model it as such. Personally I like to start with ulric's helm and mace and convert my way backwards from there, but any of the chaplain CAs should be sufficiant.

Oh! Another question, Do you use Power Armor, Runic Armor or Terminator Armor for your Wolf Priests? Terminator Armor seems to be better then Runic Armor as it costs the same and also comes with a 5+ invul..

I use Runic Armour on mine. Since he allready got a 4++ built in I see no point in taking a TDA. In Runic he can also do sweeping advance.

here's mine, made using one of the chaos marines head with the inner teeth drilled out. his chainsword has been replaced with a proper crozius a long time ago but then again it's a pretty old conversion i did...

Hmm.. I wonder why they can take Terminator Armor when they already have 4+ invul and Runic gives 2+ armor.. Havent played Space Wolves in ages but I'm hoping to get my army back again soon!

Because it looks badass.
