This is the one I made, mostly from plastic bits out of the new box. Torso was a FW piece and the heads an old long fang. Bit of greenstuff and voila, WP... Really thought I'd posted a finished pic. Might have to update this when I get to a computer...

Kitbashing is the way to go I think (a general rule with Space Wolves really!).

Mine is built from Kor'sarro Khan mixed with various parts from my bits boxes.

I blogged about the conversion on my blog here if you're interested.

Here's a quick picture: he's got no paint yet, regrettably:

I would like to see this guy primed!! Great dynamics and pose, just not sure how the head will all work out. Bit many tubes sticking out the side of the head for my taste (and seems a bit un-wolfy) but the GS hair might be a save.

Anyway thanks for sharing!!

Oh! Another question, Do you use Power Armor, Runic Armor or Terminator Armor for your Wolf Priests? Terminator Armor seems to be better then Runic Armor as it costs the same and also comes with a 5+ invul..

Instead of TDA, for the exact same points, you can equip your Character in Runic Armour. With RA, you'll have the same 2+/4++ saves as TDA, but will have the following additional advantages:

1. You'll have an additional attack in close combat, because you get to keep your pistol.

2. You get to keep your grenades.

3. You can still conduct a Sweeping Advance.

4. You get a 5+ save against Psychic attacks.

5. You only take up one slot in Transports.

6. You get to ride in all transports (I.e Rhinos and Razorbacks).

7. You can select a Thunderwolf Mount (Wolf Lord and Battle Leader only).

The advantages to taking TDA over RA:

1. Grants an Invulnerable Save for characters that don't already have one.

2. Models in TDA will probably look cooler.

EDIT: I originally made this list when discussing a Wolf Lord, who had a Belt of Russ, hence the 4++ Inv Save (same goes for Wolf Priest); a Rune Priest doesn't have that, so one advantage of TDA for him would be the 5++ Inv Save that it provides.

don't forget TDA also offers the relentless rule, while on a lord etc it's only a small bonus, it's a bonus none the less

Hendrik, what weapon would an IC take in which Relentless would help? When wear Runic Armour they always keep a pistol for the extra attack. In TDA most stick with the stock Storm Bolter; I suppose you could give him a Combi-weapon and Relentless would make a difference, but much better to keep the pistol in Runic, in my estimation, especially given all of the other advantages.

Best,

V
