I have Played with 3 RP regularly and found it competitive. They add LD, CC ability and ranged shootiing to my GH

and killswitch/alex on the space wolves grey blog is another example did well them during 5th using them high level tournaments like ETC and GT's

In a way their weakness -lists with lots of high psychic defence has reduced as only really eldar held on to their defences and they really on getting off their powers too which tend to be short ranged and likely to be stopped as well.

but i do think you need more ranged firepower in your list especially if you are taking the boost powers rather codex ones like LL

Out of curiosity, how do you deal with Runes of Warding?

Honestly its difficult but i have yet to lose to one with one in the list. If its allies they have sacrificed some extra points including him and mandatory unit/s. But my build is different to the one above. Eldar also dont have many battle brothers so normally cant hide him in non eldar unit

Plan A: kill him. Destroy his transport ( much easier these days with glancing hits in the old days they was a nightmare) Then him

If he is hiding /being difficult to kill

Plan B Be careful and stop him using his powers. Eldar normally rely on the their powers a lot and now are more use to not being stopped from using them(hood nerf). Seer councils aren't half as good when they cant rerolls saves etc

Even with runes you should get about half you powers off so choose carefully then once you lose wound only use them in vital situations.

Your rune priests still are giving you high leadership, psychic protection bubbles, and extra close combat power

Also remember the objectives (Eldar tend to lack good objective holders) They are what wins the game and can allow you to force your opponent to do what he does not want to do
