Res Ipsa Loquitur Posted December 29, 2012 Share Posted December 29, 2012 I, Res Ipsa Loquitur, of the Blood Angels, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least two Stormraven Gunships, a Drop Pod, a five-strong Scout Squad and a seven-strong Death Company with Jump Packs on or before the 31st of March, 2013. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the updated Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. First up is Astorath The Grim who I originally bought in 5th Ed. and planned to use as a Captain. I put the Scouts and the two DC that needed stripping into my usual stripper of choice, only for some reason this time it melted them into unrecognisable lumps of plastic. Question One; does it matter that the Scouts I'll paint up for this weren't the ones that I pledged? I'm going out today to buy a new box, you see. I took their original armaments off, gave them a Simple Green bath, then gave them blood fists/talons. I also now have the Drop Pod and I'll be starting on that soon. I only have a Drop Pod, Stormraven, Tactical Squad, the good Captain and half a Scout Squad left to do for my BA before I cast my beady gaze on another army. Plus, as this thread evidences, I'm really bad at painting challenges. 0-2 so far. When is this event starting and where do I find out more about it?
