Vash113 Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 So I decided to make my first modeling project of the new year a brand new Wolf Lord model to lead my Great Company. Though technically Runic Armor is pretty well superior in every way and the previous model for my Wolf Lord was in Runic Armor I am just a huge fan of Terminator Armor. I love it, it's just so epic. So since I wanted Terminator Armor and the most readily available and convertable Terminator model is the Chaos Terminator Lord kit I picked one up. The chaosy-bits actually help the new model fit in with the rest of my force which was originally modeled as 13th Company so includes quite a few chaos bits already. I apologize for the mediocre pics but hopefully they show the model alright. The helmet lost the center skull and secondary horns and the trophy racks lost the spikes as well. I cut the head off of a Space Wolf Terminator Thunder Hammer and pinned on the blade of a SW Chainsword to create the Frost Blade. A standard Marine Terminator left arm holds a SW Termie Storm Shield. I added a wolf tail talisman and terminator honors on chain to the cloak and trimmed down a backpack ornamental terminator honors and added it to the left shoulder pad. Lastly I added the Dark Angels helmet trophy rack to the base as well as a number of skulls and spent ammo from various sources. Oh and I cut an ornamented belt from an old SW power armored torso and added that over the normal belt in case I ever want to represent a Belt of Russ... for sheer superfluousness' sake. What did you use for the belt on the armor by the way? I mentioned in the text above but the belt is from an old Space Wolf Power Armored torso bit. I cut off the belt, shaved it down, shaved the chaos lord's belt down and glued the new one in place. On my old Wolf Lord I used the same bit to represent a Belt of Russ but here that is unnecessary, instead it is just a nice bit of extra SW detail and I like the way it covers the lower torso and joins up with the chestplate.
