Hey Giga,

first of all: a happy new year! I really liked your BatReps. It was easy to follow and well described. The pics helped to illustrate the armies and the process of the matches.

I am kind of surprised about your rather positive conclusion of the Demons game since it sounded as if you stood no chance at all. But maybe I just did not read it focussed enough :)

Your list looks pretty solid and balanced which I really do like! You have units for every necessary tactical task, and I agree wholeheartedly about the awesomeness of Vindicators...especially in a tournament list and especially against MEQs. I play two of them in my current list but have added a Thunderfire cannon in order to have more range against horde units. I also use Sternguards (paired with Calgar) in order to have something that can threaten my opponent's DZ but I understand that this does not necessarily fit your list.

The match against the Wolves was very interesting since it was so close with ups and downs on both sides. Despite the LOS-blocking terrain that hampered the effectiveness of your army you did a good job picking your targets well. I liked particularly the increase of aggressivenes on your side when you realized that his Thunderwolves would dominate the table if you would leave them unharmed in the place they were. This kind of flexibility is what most players lack IMHO.

I am looking forward to read more of your reports, so keep them coming. Thanks and have a good one

Thanks, I'm really glad you like it. :]

When I wrote the first draft of the report, I typed a two paragraph anti-daemon rant in the AFTERTHOUGHTS section, but then after re-reading it I figured that sort of talk doesn't help anyone and is disrespectful to my opponent. So rather than mar the report with that sort of anti-daemon whining, I went for a more constructive analysis of the battle. And judging by your response, it was well received. :]

I'll defo keep them coming. This year will be full of these mini-tournaments, so they'll be plenty of opportunity. :]
