special box game ideas

Theres a heresy board game from fantasy flight that plays out siege of terra. its a good laugh actually, a mate got a copy last year and we gave it a whirl.

My vote goes on bloodbowl (also what I think is most likely as its easy to sell, and boosts sales of existing model range, although does require gw to admit spec games still exist lol). Otherwise warhammer quest? I wasn't alive when it came out I think (was it before 1989?) but have heard a lot about it, would like to give that a go

How about an Inquisitor based Cluedo type game? Instead of Person/Weapon/Room it could be Protagonist/Dastardly Plan/Sector or World. The gameboard would be a galactic map for example.

Or maybe a 40k version of Guess Who? I reacon you coyld get that work for SM chapters/Warbands. Male/Imperial, Female/Chaos, Skin Colour/Armour Colour, Hair/Helmet. (I think I've just convinced myself to DIY this one....)

How about Chess with a fully sculpted battleground Chessboard? You could also include combat rules, giving every piece a chance of fighting off the attacking piece. How cool would it be to have a Pawn deny a Queen, maybe not kill off the piece, but place it back to where it moved from and have it count as the attackers move still.

How about a BFG themed Battleships?

How about a 40k deck of cards? The four "Suits" could be Ultras, SW, BA & DA.

Cheers,

Hungry Hungry Hive fleet.. its like hungry hungry hippoes except its hive ships and the marbles are painted like planets...

OR

Apothacarion.. its like Operation except you have to put all the new organs into a marine (belchers gland, second heart etc)

The only specialist games listed on the GW website are:

Bloodbowl

Battlefleet Gothic

Epic Armageddon

Inquisitor

Mordheim

Necromunda

Warmaster

So I'm going to be boring as ask for either a re-release of Gorkamorka or Warhammer Quest (yes I now the latter will never happen but still).

If we look outside the box (sorry couldn't resist) then it logically wouldn't be a current product they still sell, since they've always been 1 off print/runs releases, even if the support is meagre for the Specialist Games at best. That rules out the Specialist Games right now.

Warhammer Quest could be worth a release though. Maybe even a 40K version though that might compete with Relic too much so would be doubtful.

I always wanted to see a empire building game, similar to Risk or Dust. Long as it's dice based because card based combat really turns my mates off.
