So I finally got my Space wolves back and was just counting up what I have in my army, I havent played it in some time now but I like it, Even if I'm bad at list building and couldent make any real good lists (Cus I dont know enough to make good lists)

Anyways, This is what got, Is it good? What more should I get?

4 ThunderWolves

3 Rhino

1 Land Raider

2 Rifleman Dreadnoughts

30 Grey Hunters (Atleast 4 Meltas)

5 Wulfen

6 Missile Longfangs

4 Lascannon Longfangs

2 Longfang leaders

10 Scouts (2 with Melta)

6 Wolf guard Terminators

Arjac Rockfist

Logan Grimnar

Ragnar Blackmane

Njal Stormcaller

Canis Wolfborn

2 Rune Priests

1 Wolf Priest

Also, I'm not sure if my Rune Priests are old or some kind of special models.. They look exactly like the one for sale on the GW site exept for two things. One of them has a sword instead of a axe, And both have Bolt Pistols instead of Plasma Pistols. They are unpainted and it does not look like they have been modifyed in any way.

You seem to have a good mix of units. Id maybe consider soem more Long fangs with missles, as always very good!

Id also consider some more grey hunters but see if you could bring in some plasma guns as they are pretty useful in this edition, where as melta seem to be needed less due to tanks etc being seen alittle less. Maybe look into magnetising some of the weapons, as it will make it easier to switch out weapons depending on the list and also less models needed.

You definitely have enough of the right models to do well in a game. I suggest you play a few games with your models and see what you like and don't like about 6th edition.

You might want to try out a Drop Pod delivery tactic, I suggest at least 3 for your force.

Post pictures of your rune priests, I am sure they will be quickly identified.

they might be old casts but idk - I'd suggest looking through google pics of known RP sculpts and seeing what pops up :)

4 ThunderWolves - I'd suggest getting a couple more - then you have the potential for either 3 packs of 2 or 2 packs of 3.

3 Rhino - These are good, in the future buy Razorbacks and don't glue the gun-hatch, then you have an RB and Rhino, I'd get a couple more BUT it'll depend on your play style.

1 Land Raider - Firstly, what type is it? a basic Lascannon, a Crusader or Redeemer? I LOVE the Redeemer but that's because I like fire haha again how many you have is more to taste and play style.

2 Rifleman Dreadnoughts - I've not actually used them yet BUT playing against them they're pretty beastly - I wouldn't go for any more as yet.

30 Grey Hunters (Atleast 4 Meltas) - Due to my own aim of having 100 GHs I've got another 60 to get, for you I reccomend at least another 10-20 and making up Plasmas for those units (so a minimum of 4 PGs) as we'll be facing LOTS of TDA due to the new DA release.

5 Wulfen - Keep these fellas and use them to represent any MoTW PA guys.

6 Missile Longfangs - Always useful, I'd suggest topping them up to 10 MLs as then you've got enough for 2 full LF Packs w/ MLs, if you're likely to face a horde army I'd recommend getting 5-10 HBs as well.

4 Lascannon Longfangs - Also useful though idk how much atm with the ability for Plasma to take out a lot of vehicles, I'd say get one more (then you have a full pack of pure LCs if needed) and get 5 PCs for the same options with Plasma Cannons.

2 Longfang leaders - make up another 2-3 of these guys (I proxie regular guys I'm not using).

10 Scouts (2 with Melta) - keep as they are, these guys can ruin an enemy's back field or take that key back field objective (well kill the unit sitting on it).

6 Wolf guard Terminators - I like my TDA so I would go for another 4 guys at least, and perhaps in the future a further 10 TDA guys, I deffo suggest getting 10-20 built up as PA WG, they're extremely useful when you need an extra hit in CC or the potential to take an enemy character out of combat (even if he dies he'll likely be fewer pts than your opponent).

Special Characters - Keep Them!

Arjac Rockfist

Logan Grimnar

Ragnar Blackmane

Njal Stormcaller

Canis Wolfborn

2 Rune Priests - I'd suggest getting another 1-2 for larger points games (as mentioned elsewhere in the forum 4 RPs cause havoc).

1 Wolf Priest - Heartily recommend getting at least 1 more of these guys, in TDA they help WG a LOT and in Runic/PA they're brilliant as well, having 10 GH + C-Plas TDAWG + C-Plas WP turning up in your enemy's back field and then blasting 8 Plasma Shots and 16 Bolters re-rolling hits and wounds (if you chose Preffered Enemy correctly) will mess up anyones back line.

Hope this helps, my input is in red, happy hunting and get gaming brother :)

The problem with getting more Missile launcher dudes is that you only get 1 in each box of Devastators.. The onyl reason I have so many is because the previous owned of the army had gotten and assembled them.. And I dont realy use ebay.. Might try to get more with time though. Same for the Lascannons. More Grey Hunters I have been thinking of getting. Getting more Wolf Priests is somewhat hard too because GW are evil and dont sell any, And I fail at kitbashing and stuff XD But thanks for all the hints and tips!

Oh, and the Lander Raider is magnetised and have the weapons for all three types. I'm realy happy to have my space wolves back, Going to play a 1850 point army in a small tournament my group has soon.

There are several ways to get rocket launchers, if I am not entirely incorrect there is a launchers on the normal tactical marine box, which is good as you can then kit-bash more Grey hunters together with a normal Wolf pack box. Plus it might be easier to swap plasma cannons with DA players now.

I would say get more Grey hunters packs at least two more, you can never have to few of them. :) I do love my razorbacks, my Long Fangs grumble and complain a lot when they are not attached to one, and as Brother Russ brother 92 say, you can always take away the turret and call it a rhino.

Here you can get some ideas how others have kit bashed their Wolf priests, I just cut the blade from the frost blade and stuck one of those back pack thingies where the blade was, and call it a crozius. :) http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.php?showtopic=268566

I'm currently planning on buying a Space Wolves Pack box to make atleast 4 Plasma gun troops with (A friend has a few plasma guns in the bits boxes that I can have) And I think a Wolf Priest aswell (Probably wont be anything advanced, But I'l use the wolf head helmet for it) And then I might make a power armor Wolf Lord or something too.. We will see ^_^
