Ravenwing Squad

Hi guys! Not typically in this part of the forums, as my Alpha Legion keep me busy usually, but I have felt like painting up some Ravenwing for a good few years now and the DA release is, of course, the perfect time to pounce!

I used a method of painting black I have never really used before, namely that extreme highlight all the way up to that slightly off-white. I still need to hit em with the sealer, and I'm sort of torn between a semi-gloss versus a simple matte finish. Any thoughts are welcome! Any who, I'm plannin on slowly adding to this force, probably next including some greenwing Any thoughts or comments kindly welcomed! Thanks!

looking good - especially liking the mosiac bases but it does draw the eye away from the biker.

For me the bolter cases should be red to break up all the black - but I'm old skool

Thanks man! Yeah, I agree I originally thought of doing them red, but decided against it because I've always thought it looked more menacing to have them black, not to mention if I paint some Greenwing I don't want their casings to be red 'cause then I get the Christmas tree effect Thanks for the note on the bases too, this was the first time I did them that way!
