bushman101
hey. I have a model that I need help identifying. I'm pretty sure it's a scout (he's plastic), but don't know what edition it's from or how it was packaged. Looking around the internet didn't help either, so I turn to the forum. Thanks http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/bushman010/40k/IMG_20130104_141954.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/bushman010/40k/IMG_20130104_142005.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269617-name-this-model/ Share on other sites

Azatoth
Jap, it is an ASC scout sergeant. One of the best games GW ever has done in my eyes. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269617-name-this-model/#findComment-3283824 Share on other sites
JeffJedi
He was also found in Tyranid Attack, my first boxed game. Â And he was for sale by mail order for $5 with 4 scouts for a few years. tvih
I remember him from Tyranid Attack. Hope you can resurrect him. Do my eyes deceive me, or is it that even for an old and not so detailed model it seems that particular one has been more or less dipped in a paint bucket? In which case, resurrection may take a while! I got my hands on 3 RT-era Librarians which have never been painted, plus some sort of Space Wolf with a glaive that, much like that Sarge, looks like it's been dipped in paint... but at least it's metal and thus stripping will be easier. Solid Zaku
This heresy must not go unanswered. What a shame that such a classic model was so badly mistreated. If you hold it up to your ears, through the inch and a half of housepaint, you can hear him screaming 'Kill me'. Olis
you can hear him screaming 'Kill me'. Â Well, it sounds more like 'khhmhh' but yeah. He's suffering in there. :P Â Say, bushman, how did you get a hold of him? Veteran Sergeant
I have like 20 of those guys, and they shall never again see the light of day. I love old RT models, and have a fairly large collection of them but the original scouts, with their slashed fabric puffy sleeves, good grief. Awful models, lol. bushman101
Thanks! I got this poor guy in a trade I did. At first, I thought he was just primed white, but after a few colors of my own, I noticed he was missing a lot of detail. So I'm going to have to strip off all the paint and start again. I don't mind a lot of the old models. Sure the sculpts were horrible, but they are nostalgic (I still have my Angels of Death codex from 2nd ed, and it shows the scouts having the puffy sleeves and wierd tattoos) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269617-name-this-model/#findComment-3286622 Share on other sites
Bunta
I still have 3 scouts with puffy sleeves and mohawks! I should strip them and repaint them just for fun!
