Kastor Krieg Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Sammy is a character when he's on the Corvex jetbike. When he gets into the Land Speeder though, what happens then? Is that a vehicle that is a character, like Bjorn? Or is the character embarked upon the Land Speeder? Can he disembark then, if the Land Speeder is wrecked / destroyed? Azoriel Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 When playing Sammy with landspeeder, he's a vehicle character ala Bjorn - he stays in the vehicle the whole time (just like the pilot and gunner for any other landspeeder). If the speeder goes down, he goes down with it. (Storywise, he might have survived the crash and just be stuck in the wreck, but that's beyond the scope of the wargame rules.) If it's the former it allows him to screen a lot of fragile vehicles. Sammy on Sableclaw only change the Unit Type from Jetbike (Character) to Vehicle (Fast, Skimmer). Have no idea if that means he still retain his Independent Character special rules, Scouts, Skilled Rider, Inner Circle, etc. If he still retain his IC special rule, IC can not join vehicle squadron nor any units that always of a single model (such as most vehicles and Monstrous Creatures). But they can join other IC. So if he still retain his IC, Sableclaw can join a command squad . . . Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
