Gentlemanloser
Move over Logan, I think I've found someone to use as a functioning Mordrak in Belial. Just under his points cost with a TH/SS, DS first turn with no scatter, is an proper IC, and you don't lose his unit when he dies. In addition, take him as Primary, and he makes DW TDA Troops. And they get Twin Linked and Split Fire the turn the DS. Pew Pew. I am now seriosuly considering running a Dangle Primary / GK Secondary list. Belial DW TDA Scouts Maybe a rediculously cheap Divination Libby (I mean seriously!) Inquisitor Strike Squad x 2 Warrior Accolytes with Bolters/Storm Bolters Interceptors That gives me acess to my Three GK Razors, a workable TDA unit that can actually *do* something the turn it DSes, and a long range home objective holder. Win! Now, does the Power Field work on Strikes? If so, 3++ in CC from thier NFS? That Dangel Libby is an auto include! Oh the posiblites! (Also does anyone know what 'The Hunt' Warlord Trait Belial has does?) Edit: Even looking at the 1,500 point games we're currently playing, this seems to be awesome; HQ: Belial Troop: 5 x DW TDA, 5 x CF (just because! I would love to model them as Eviscerators!) Troop: 5 x Scouts, 5 x Cloaks HQ: OM Inquisitor, TDA/NDH, Psycannon Elite: 10 x Warrior Accolyte, 10 x Bolter, Razorback, Psybolt Ammo Troop: 10 x Strike, 2 x Psycannon, NFH, Razorback, Psybolt Ammo Troop: 10 x Strike, 2 x Psycannon, NFH, Razorback, Psybolt Ammo Fast: 5 x Interceptors Come to a whopping: 1,365 points LoL. So much room to play with. I get my Three GK Razors, a first turn TDA drop with TL/Split Fire, Intercetors to harrass/last turn denail, 5 Psycannons, a home objective camper and still have points to play with. (And the three range bands I was after. Belial/DW and Interceptors for close, Strikes for Mid, Scouts/Razors for Long. Can also hang back with a couple of Strike CS to warp quake DZ if necessary) Oh my. spafe
I'm not an expert on points of new dex, but can you drop scouts, and put in another unit of termies? Other than that, seems like a nasty list. If you dont swap scouts out like that, possibly add 5 more so you can combat squad them onto objectives, and add some plasma to the hench. should be able to fit that in along with a libby if they have followed the chaos cost for lvl 1 psyk Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269689-i-think-ive-found-my-mordrak/#findComment-3285219 Share on other sites
Gentlemanloser
The Libby is only 10 points more than a bare PML1 Inquisitor! I'm also considering dropping the Scouts for a Plasma Cannon TDA Squad for home objectives. ;) Lots to play with! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269689-i-think-ive-found-my-mordrak/#findComment-3285250 Share on other sites
spafe
How cheap are those termies?! I assume that'd be all you could fit in though. thats scary cool though. how would you paint em? da colours of a etherally bluey green like army of the dead for lotr? Gentlemanloser
Yeah. Belial would be usual GK colours, the DW would be either etherial Blue/Green, depending on which my limited painting skillz could make look the nicest. I can fit in a second TDA Squad, dropping the WA to 5. But that kinda loses the theme. Not sure. If the Power Field works the way I hope, I'll probably look at going back to scouts and a PFG Libby for my Strikes. Edit: The helpful guys on the Dangel board confirmed that the PFG works on both Friendly and Enemy minis within 3". So 3++ For Strikes (with Nemesis Force Swords!) is a go! Gah, now I want to drop Belial and take two Libbies! :D 20 point Grey Knights with Storm Shield saves in CC? How awesome is that... Ifrit446
"The Hunt" gives Belial and his unit an extra Victory Point if they kill the enemy warlord. Kind of nifty I suppose if you're going balls-deep...But I think it's one of the least useful warlord traits for the Darks. But I hope your idea works out for you. I personally love Mordrak myself (although I don't play Greys anymore), but Belial could be pretty cool I suppose, and he DEFINITELY helps out a Termie Armored force. Gentlemanloser
Thanks! I'm currently considering (as I really get everything I want at 1,500 points) including a Dangel LR Crusader, Techmarine with PFG and Command Squad with Bolter Banner. An AV14 Tank, with a 4++ Save, that shoots 24 Twin Linked Bolter shells (and a TL AC, and a MM) per turn. With the ability to regain lost Hull Points. Pew Pew. ;) I think I'll get an army list up soon.
