Cpt_Lucifer Posted January 19, 2013 Author Share Posted January 19, 2013 Its a simple technique my friend showed me - use a piece of sponge to add a base layer, in this case black. Then go over it with silver - I used Mithril as it was lighter than the silver I used for the main plating. The sponge gives a nice mottled effect that looks more natural because of the randomness.
