Brother_Kovasir
I've got another question... What happens to a world if it has been assaulted by Chaos/Daemons? I remember reading a while back (I know it was Space Wolf novel, not sure which though...) that IG that fought chaos were to be exterminated to avoid potential corruption of the larger IG forces. However, I have read of planets being invaded but never mention if the population was killed off after the fighting. Would there be a difference if said world was a chapters home world versus a Hive world? Thanks! Octavulg
Fluff is contradictory. Sometimes they're killed. Sometimes they're not (God knows, if they killed every Cadian who fought a daemon there'd be none of them left). Armageddon had its entire population sterilized after the First War, and the whole place was repopulated. I think it's safe to assume that they don't always kill them off, but may do so if there's a serious risk of corruption. It'll depend on the situation, I think. The Chapter also might get a voice in things. Also, at this point, I'll warn you that daemonic invasions of the home world aren't interesting - the effects of daemonic invasions are interesting. If you want the population exterminated, it'd need to be a fairly serious incursion, but it's certainly possible. Especially if some of the native population join in. I figured there was a cannon conflict however I wasn't sure if there was some variable I was missing. Thanks! Also, at this point, I'll warn you that daemonic invasions of the home world aren't interesting - the effects of daemonic invasions are interesting. What effects are you thinking of in particular? Mind you, I'm aware not everyone will share the interest but I am curious to know. Especially considering I could think of millions of effects a Daemonic Invasion could effect a world, specially so if it's a Chapter's home world. Octavulg
Not thinking of any. Just that what matters about events in the IA are their impact on your chapter. People have this annoying tendency to think 3000 words of battles is interesting in its own right. It isn't. Anyway. Worry about that later. When they're not in an IA. Anyway, yea... Having things such as battles in an IA isn't a bad thing provided it's short and sweet(aka not a wall of text...hell keep it to about 1-2 paragraphs) as well as provides some detail or insight as to how that event affected the chapter.
