Hi guys, just a quick one, had these old combat squad marines knocking around, thickly painted. So I stripped them, repaired them and repainted them.

 

I used some older painting techniques, and the new red wash from gw, be warned it makes things very dark. Anyway here you go :)

Strips metal and plastic with no damage, and really easily. Found out by accident when a plastic arm made it in with metal models.

Very nice rescues!

 

I like how the dark red turned out. I take it you used the Carroburg Crimson wash? Do you do the wash after the basecoat and before the highlights, or after all the highlights have been done?
