Creamywynch
Greetings brothers! Having come from a long hiatus back to the Wolves (been playing a grey knights army......I know dont kill me) I have started to build up my wolf army again. I have always liked the idea of a wolf lord riding a thunderwolf into battle but was wondering what the most effective wargear is to arm him with? Thunderhammers, powerfists ect will squander his high initiative but power swords/lightning claws do not have the hitting power of the others when it comes to dealing with ap2. What is your advice? helosv
Hello, GW had though about your problems................. The new rules for 40K allow you to have 2 specialist weapons and keep the +1A !!! So give him claws + 1 power fist or thunderhammer !!! You will have the choice of you initiative to strike...5 or 1 + russ' belt to have 4++ save runic armour to have 2+ save Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/269992-wolf-lord-on-thunderwolf-loadout/#findComment-3289259 Share on other sites
dswanick
Wolf Claw/Power Fist/Belt of Russ/Fen.Wolves - +1A for two Specialist Weapons, choice of S5/I5/AP3 or S10/I1/AP2 as needed and still a decent ++Save if you fail your 2+ LO,S! to the Wolves..
