Do thought I would post pics as I have chance to paint him. nurglespuss Posted January 21, 2013 Author Share Posted January 21, 2013 He's a sweet model, the level of detail actually makes painting easier rather than harder :) I start with wadakka red (over grey underfoot) and work up through the reds and oranges, to yriel yellow and white. Then use carroburgh crimson, then a red/yellow/black ink mix, then re tough the highlights, and glaze with red and yellow. Then retouch the armour edges with more yellow and use orange/yellow glaze, and use more red glaze on the ribbed armour. Takes a wee while, but after the red, its just a case of the face etc. The axe is tricky. I'm having a think about it ;p Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DarkMark Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 Great job fella! The red is ace, and I really like the blond barnet. If I were nit picking then perhaps change the seals to purple to better match the red and yellow, shade some blue into the deepest parts of the red, and a liitle more work on the black wouldn't go a miss.
