captain sox Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 He folks, while the board was down I was watching the BoW presentation of Dark Angels week, and something caught my attention. Our Ravenwing Support Squadron can take up to 4 more Land Speeders, all which can be upgraded to Typhoons or Tornado's? I read it in the Codex entry and it seems to be true (unless I've read it wrong?) So would you take 5 Land Speeders, and would you upgrade them? If so, what would you do? Tanhausen Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 It was like that in the 4th edition codex...the thing is that before we would only take 1 typhoon per squad and now we can take as many as we want! I've been playing the 5 LS, all with MM and 1 with typhoon for the last 3 months and its a STONE of a unit, that can take a lot of punishment and still retaliate. It only goes down fast vs 2 things: - massed missiles/lascannons (aka devastators) - get assaulted As long as you're careful with that, it's all good :) Now I'm thinking of changing to 5 x LS HB/Typhoon, mainly to better use the 36" range...gonna have to scavange a few HB now that I had enough MM sigh...
