Gunrunr
Hello everyone. Here is my Leman Russ main battle tank that I built to support my Black Templars from afar. The camo was done with an airbrush. I tried an idea that I have seen on other works where you use black under the boltgun metal and let some of the black show around the edges. I love the way it gives the effect that the paint looks worn out on the edges but near the center it is worn all the way down to the bare metal. http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc334/empchamp/LemanRuss_zps03be7399.jpg
Olis
Not bad - the camo looks alright and the weathering is decent. What with the airbrush being used, the tracks look a bit... meh. Were they drybrushed?
Gunrunr
The tracks were drybrushed. I wanted them to also look worn so I added a little black ink. What I did not want was for them to be real bright and stand out too much. I could have spent more time and given the entire tank a brown wash and added more highlights here and there but this is a game piece and I still have a ton of other models to build. Kierdale
Again, very nice work. The weathering came out well again too.

Fair enough. :)
Honda
Hey Gunrunr! Very nice looking Leman. As you build out your inventory of vehicles, you might consider looking at some pigments for the tracks. They will give them that dusty driven look that seems typical of Armageddon battlefields. Please do continue filling out this army, I need the legion to come and rescue my Elysians after they land. :P Cheers,

Are you talking about the ones that are like powder like Forge World sells or are you talking about the new paints from GW? I already use the new GW pigmented paints and those work great for basing my troops. I'm thinking of using those other weathering powders for the vehicles though. My plan is to get all my vehicles game ready then come back later and make them weathered and dirty. At the moment I'm working on 3 Leman Russ tanks for my brother's Valhallan Ice Warriors so I have lots of work ahead of me.
