pedrogzc
Hail Brothers!!! How the hell do you deal with Demon Princes! My regular oponnent use a Nurgle Winged Demon Prince with the Dark Mace He's nearly untouchable while is flying (shrouded and jinx give him a 3++) and in HtH has ini 7 F6 FP2 and between 7 and 13 attacks with hate!!!! I don't know how to catch him. I have tried with lone wolves in TDA with hammer, but they are slained before they having a chance to swing back. Curiusly, last time, massed bolter fire took 2 wound from him! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270550-dealing-with-demon-princes/ Share on other sites
Blaze
Just shoot him with random small arms, like rhino storm bolters. Each time he's hit he has to test for crashing even if not hurt by it. He should take a wound from the crash then losses his jink and all that so you can kill him from there like any other enemy. Squark
From the sound of things, he's a CSM demon prince. 1 wound on a flieing demon prince is game over for them most of the time (No eternal warrior means they die instantly to the fall wound). Proper Demon Demon princes are a bit trickier. But you really, really ought to be investing in an Aegis Defense Line right about now anyway. Ignoring fliers just. doesn't. work. Or Guard or Blood Angels Allies for Vendettas/Stormraven with bloodstrike Missiles. CSM princes are toughness 5, which means the Strength 9 hit does not ID them...... Squark
Could have sworn it was S10... Guess I mixed the Grounding test up with fliers crashing and burning. Still not a bad idea to aim S10 their way if you've got it, though. Brother Ambroz
Just fire alot of dakka at them. If they take one hit, just one and fail the 3+ grounding test then they are down and minus one wound. That'll mean you can light it up with whatever you want. helosv
Last chance: Arjac (S10 / AP1) in challenge, yes he has to survive before... But can launch his foehammer before, at 6 inches ! greysquigg
Seems silly, but one turns worth of 3 squad double plasma wolf standard grey-hunter fire will eat it once it's landed. Best put your krak missiles to work for good measure. If it's a case of it charging you, well then you need that deathstar unit I think. Perhaps PF FB BOR TWC lord? I'm not a math-hammer addict so I'm going more on experience with this one. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
frankly, as a Wolf you shouldnt have much of a problem. the advice listed above works fine. tag him with any shots from a GH pack while flying, and vaporize him with long fangs if he eats dirt. that said, there is alot of debate (or atleast there is in my scene) if a DP with a Dark Mace is AP2 for being a monsterous creature, or ap4 from the Mace's profile. Many of us ruled that if he is using the mace in CC, he's AP4. if he's smashing then he gets AP2. that limits him somewhat against Marine armies, but he is still a monster against everybody else.
