Giga
Another thing to note is that walking tyrants, especially Swarmlord, often have 2-3 tyrant guard escorting them. A vindicator pieplate can easily hit the entire unit. PaganLinuxGeek
I try to run vindi's in pairs whenever possible. remember the bolter for "weapon disabled" vehicle damage results. ;-) I am a newer player and not a 40k guru by any means but I really wouldn't reserve them. Get them out and shooting. Unless you are playing "big guns never tire" they are not scoring and their purpose is to support your scoring units. They can't do that in reserve. Remember that the vindis, while providing big booms, crunchings and munchings, are not the game winners. Your troops are. I forgot to include blurb about the aegis line. It's great to provide a cover save to those vindi's, whatever else you stick behind it, and the gun emplacement option provides more pew pew.
