JeffJedi
Here's a pic of a new Helbrute Conversion I made for a friend of mine. I decided to give him a Twin Lascannon and tried to change up the pose as much as possible. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/JeffJedi/HelbruteConversion1_zps90ffb95a.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/JeffJedi/HB2_zpsfc1f1fa1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/JeffJedi/HB4_zps034d3a32.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270632-helbrute-conversion/ Share on other sites
Berle
First of all - Wow, nice hellbrute! However, i think you should consider bending the "toes" of the foot placed on that dead marine so it looks like he is really crushing him. That would really make it a perfect pose Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270632-helbrute-conversion/#findComment-3296118 Share on other sites
PipX
Oooo, I'm stealing this idea. I was planning on swapping out the right leg for a swarmlord one, and the powerfist arm with a crab claw, and now I see how I can achieve it and make it look practical. The defiler commander headis a great touch as well, makes it really come alive! Looking at the legs, did you just shave down the rock off the left leg, or did you also cut into the right legs supports? JeffJedi
@Berle Hmmm, yes I think I will adjust the toes a bit. @PipX Both actually, but with the Marine under his foot the cutting into the legs wasn't really needed. I was tempted to swap the right and left feet altogether. PipX
Did you also cut into the torso? I kinda make out greenstuff in that area as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270632-helbrute-conversion/#findComment-3296152 Share on other sites
JeffJedi
Yes, I cut the torso, turned and tilted it a bit before glueing it back together. I had a lot more filling with the back then the front. The hard part was making a neck for the head. I heated and pulled sprue to make a bionic looking neck. The horned bit around the old head then became a shoulder pad. Here is a pic that shows the back better: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/JeffJedi/HB3_zps2284fca3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270632-helbrute-conversion/#findComment-3296155 Share on other sites
Ch@oZ
This is some great work. The only bit i dont like is the lens in his new mouth- makes him look kinda stupid. Otherwise- awesome.
