Got to say I'm a little shocked that forgeworld hasn't released Horus or morti before releasing a new book with new primarks in it. Not that I mind them coming out with new books. As a VII legion collector the sooner the better IMO

Well I think part of it has to do with the fact that they're already releasing models from the next book already, like the Glaive, the Reaver squads, the Magos and the Castellax. I think they just wanted to establish a presence(and hype) for the next book while also cementing the previous book. Like finally getting the Palatine Blades out and making Destroyers with Jump Packs. They pretty much have everything covered for the previous book except the Primarchs and maybe one or two characters.

Jeez...this is going to cut into my scotch fund....

Mumblemumble....damn forgeworld.....mumble...good models...mumble...give my wallet a break...

Oh, that is glorious. My Iron Warriors are going to have even more fire support, heh heh heh.

And what the hell is a seeker squad, I want some but don't know how to build them or know from the description what they are

IIRC, they are something of a sniper unit. But with out sniper rifles. I think they are Forgeworld's version of that SM unit that comes with all the different Bolter ammunitions.

Well, not quite. More like Sternguard (Special ammo and all) with a BS of 5, and special rules against one opposing player's unit of your choice. Principal mission is targeting specific threats (HQ's and such) and gunning 'em down at range. A Headhunter Kill-Team, if you will.

As for looks, It'd be pretty specific to the Legion. Iron Hand seekers would probably be geardo'd out with optics and weapon bracers. White Scars, cloaks and trophy's. Et cetera.

Marines with special issue bolters/shells. Basically any kind of mk armour you want and these:

I plan on having mk4 plate and using the combi melta/plas with the kit below:

On the Primarch minis, I recall a past Games Day or some other event where Simon Egan said he had to start on Horus asap. I fully understand him, though. When we're talking Primarchs, you should be at your max focus, so falling in love with the character is necessary for the duration of the process.

Also, Horus should get at least two minis. Same with most traitor Primarchs, barring perhaps Perturabo and Curze since they stayed pretty much the same throughout the Heresy.

Hint of a rumor of the special salamander squad from a source in naftka

Sally termies in ornate artificer tartaros armor

"Special Terminator Squad combining Thunder Hammer and Storm Bolters (no shields). Has access to a special weapon that's a "pimped out mix of Heavy Flamer and Multi Melta"

Take with some salt, and seems kinda general and what one would stereotype a sallie squad to be

But its a rumor no less...discuss?

Damned be FW, that Vindie and the recent Whirlwind are so tempting I'm now considering an Armoured Spearhead for my World Eaters... My wallet doesn't like the idea, but damn are these tanks awesome!

Hear that?

I hear it whimpering every time I type forgeworld.com in my address bar...

One way I've found that helps my lady swallow the pill when I place such an order is to use her credit card instead of mine so she gets extra points/miles/idunnowhat off my back! ;)

Hahaha i always point towards all the purses, shoes, clothes and whenever when I get the inevitable, "why do you need more of those???" (use appropriate croning or witch voice to add character)

That rumour has been out ever since the Horus Heresy Weekender, unless I'm much mistaken. They're basically uber-Sallie Terminators and they're called the Mandrakes, IIRC.

Mandrakes? As in the plants? That's a pretty strange, out of place name. Did someone see the -drake part and just go with it?

Maybe what you can do, is save up money and make a double delivery of one package for you and one package for her. That way, when she starts to get iffy, you can just go "Yeah. Say it. I don't have to give this to you. I can live with a week on the couch. Gives me more room to paint."

Ludo, I think you mean the Firedrakes. At least, that's what I heard and since they have already featured in the novels, it sounds like a safe bet.

@Jaspcat

I get a chewing out if I get up early to paint and convert. Apparently I should want to spend time lying there with her comatose body more than doing something productive with my morning, and no, waking her up to perform her civic duty is not an option, she's not a morning person.

Back on topic, it's nice to see that FW makes bundle deals on items, the castellax for example. True it's only an £8 saving, but better than nothing!

Firedrakes will be out at Gamesday UK I reckon, and from what people have said from the HH weekender, they're "full of win"
