Regarding Alpha Legion's colours, Scars III answers that:

"Some vessels were adorned with the new Legion symbols - edged with sapphire and emerald, the sigil of the striking hydra. Others still bore the colours of fidelity, crowned with the old chain-linked Alpha-Omega device. As ever with the XX legion, nothing had been entirely settled. Everything was still in flux."

I just made an order at Gen Con at the Forge World booth for a couple Sicaran tanks and a Castellax Battle-Automata. Free shipping, so how could I turn that down? teehee.gif
Hopefully, the rules do them both justice. Oh yeah, and I blew most of my Gen Con budget at the Forge World booth. Lot's of Legion MK II Crusade Armor, Phobios and Tigurious pattern bolters, some Volkite weapons, Mechanicum Thallax Cohort, Justerian Termy's and weapons, Praetors... oh, and a Luna Wolves transfer sheet. Time to get painting some white!

No news on the new book- I asked the Forge World guys. He said (Insert British accent here) "sometime this Autumn". pinch.gif

Immortal breacher squads? That's an awesome name, have they been previewed yet or are you just very good at coming up with designations, Depthcharge?

 

Likely we won't see Iron Hands, Word Bearers or Salamanders before book 2 is released, though.

 

The Sons of Horus dread is a beauty, I'll go with that as my hunch.

I'm slightly disheartened that Legions covered in book one are still getting prime model releases at the same time that book two hits, thereby cutting down on the number of toys available to the new Legions.

 

Yes I'm slightly biased because I'm going to play one of those Legions and I also appreciate that a massive chunk of this first year's 30k releases have been generic in nature so everyone could jump on board if they want to.

 

But whilst I see that Death Guard are getting some new destroyer unit and Emperor's Children Phoenix Guard Terminators, I note nothing for any Iron Hands Morlocks, Gal Vorbak, Atramentar etc it's still a bit of a pain, especially with the rumoured pre xmas release of Massacre pt II/Phall

The new Legions's minis should start flowing as soon as the book is released, at Games Day. After that you'll see a few minis for the Book 1 Legions here and there, since they're also at Isstvan V, but surely the new guys should get much spotlight.

 

There was an Iron Hands Contemptor presented at the Weekender. Worry not, I'm sure Ferrus and his Legion will be the poster boys for Marines, this year, with the new codex and all. Either them or Salamanders.

Well, in that case you'll get Sevatar, Raptors and a new Super Terror unit. And look at Book 1, no Legion got the short straw, each received some wonderful models. And in an evenly distributed time-lapse, IIRC. Death Guard perhaps had one less, if memory serves, which is why they'll be patted come GD.

Very true, plus the last shot of the Fire Raptor looked outstanding, not to mention the Sicarian tank. To be honest as long as there's the shoulder pads so bulk building can take place I'll be happy. Agree with the previous point though, Iron Hands certainly need some love

Iron hands are getting Gorgon terminators dude, fear not. And the immortal breacher squads, which, lets be honest, sound badass.

 

the immortals are iron hands who have failed their objective (and their primarch), and have their lifeless husks combined with augmetics to make cyborgs with the help of the legion cybernetica.

 

I just wish we WEs could get some triiari or devourers. all we get are derp faces

while i was watching the FW vid on Fulgrim, the sculpter said when the (fulgrim) sculpt was finished it was strait on to Ferrus manus. I think it's cool that their Bases are made to fit together!
