I still want to see a blast crater with a chalk outline of Ferrus Manus with the ability "Warp Blast" that whenever the model loses its 1 Wound, everything except for a Primarch in six inches dies, no rolls, no saves and no exceptions. That, I'd buy.

Honestly, some really should have those. I mean, look at Ferrus Manus. Are you really going to give Fulgrim three, four models, but leave the Iron Hands with just the one? Why can't you have two based around the Great Crusade? All jokes of a headless model aside, it'd be fair and marketable.

You could, but IH are really getting the shafted as far as HH material goes.  It's what, one or two short stories, a few bit parts in other novels, and then bamo, dead Primarch.  The fact that Fulgrim looks like he's posed at the very end of the duel with Manus, and Manus is supposed to go along with the Fulgrim one as a set doesn't bode well for IH fans.

Personally I think each Primarch should get two.  One action pose, and one where they're cheesing for the camera.  So Fulgrim standing with the banner and Fulgrim getting choppy would be the basic idea, just for all the Primarchs.

I'm sure Ferrus will be suitably badass - also, he's one of the few Primarchs for whom we don't have an official depiction, so expectations are high.

Also, FW has said that there might be books based on other battles rather than the famous ones. That means an IH contingent may very well participate in a battle we haven't/won't read about. FW isn't rushing to the finish line. Praised be them.

Actually, it was dead Primarh and bamo, three short series and then lead roles in two novels, provided you don't count Fulgrim.

Heck, in terms of numbers, they came out of Isstvan V better than the Salamanders or the Ravens, right? Only the Morlocks were lost.

Too bad they haven't been able to regroup. Or we've yet to see the bulk of the Legion. They're certainly enough to make a difference.

Don't the Iron Hands play a big role in the Battle of Tallarn as well?

Ah, yes, there's a novel planned for that.

About Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors.

Supposedly the novel is only dealing with the Imperial Army and the Iron Warriors, before the IF and IH reinforced the Loyalists.

I only read the short story in The Primarchs, and Fulgrim.  (and if they show up in First Heretic or something)  What else were they in?

Fulgrim was the first novel featuring the Iron Hands, fourth novel published in the overall series. Then in chronological order, there was the short story Little Horus in the Age of Darkness anthology, Feat of Iron, the e-book short story Kryptos, Angel Exterminatus and then Vulkan Lives. A total of two short stories, one novella and three novels. If we just include mentions, then they would indeed appear in The First Heretic.

EDIT: I forgot the novella The Lion, which was also in The Primarchs anthology.

Yes, that was them. Ironically, if they hadn't of attacked during Fulgrim's ascension, Perturabo would have died. IIRC. Apparently, that specific group makes its first appearance in Kryptos.

And only one is present in Vulkan Lives but he is a BA sniper.

Oh, Im sure that collecting all the Primarchs will become a challenge for many hobbyists in the years to come...

And guys? This is not the BL forum - less about books, more about minis. If there is nothing more to say wait until the next release... Let's keep the focus.

A better question is...

Why is Ferrus fighting with an giant pipe wrench?

Could it be that the Primarch of the Angry Marines has been found?

Forget that artwork. Then forget the fact you forgot about it so that no chance remains of your mind wandering into such dark places.

Plus, the wrench is hardly the only hard-on-the-eyes part. The fax/coffee/water purification machine on Ferrus' back is apparently out of paper/ink/coffee/batteries.

For the record, I'm not blaming the artist, at least not entirely. Likely he was just following directions, maybe having been pointed to a previous illustration.

Looking at the comic above, that reminds me: I hope Ferrus's mini has hair. Nothing against baldness - though it's getting pretty tiresome to see so many bald Space Marines when you know hair doesn't hinder them in any way -, it's more of a matter of having seen this piece by our B&C brother Slaine 69:

Ferrus is Number 5. And that look fits his warrior, brusque demeanour much better.
