I was looking again at the video and noticed at 1:00 maps I hadn't really taken a look at previously...

We can now more clearly read what was written on there and see that :
- The Flaming Sword is "Legio Atarus" according to the map key.
- However next to the one icon on the map, they are referred to as the "Firebrand Demi Legio". I therefore assume the Firebrand are part of Atarus.
- The Winged Spear is the "Imperial Army", which features on both sides as loyalists and traitors.
* However the Winged Spear symbol as it appears on the second map (the one we'd already seen in the last video) is not the same as the one that features on the map key, so might refer to something else...

Death Guard: Grave Warden Terminators, supposedly

I had to listen to him a good dozen times before I finally figured what it was he said about these legion specific terminators...

Unfortunately, we don't yet have confirmation of any DG Termies, he actually mentioned Phoenix Guard terminators (the ones that were released a week or two ago...)

+ Edit : Is it me or does Sevatar seem to be quite cheap at 175pts!?

Jesus H. Christ, what about that Iron Father...? The Iron Hands are known to be some close-faced hardasses, but that one reads like the description of a rabid rhino in power armour, fluff-wise.

As for the Book I Legions:

World Eaters: Red Butchers (curious, hope those aren't Rampagers by any other name, they need have a Marine-killing unit)

Death Guard: Grave Warden Terminators, supposedly

Emperor's Children: Kakophoni

Sons of Horus: Hmm...

Sons of Horus: Catulan Reavers for sure

I know what the Kakophoni will be, and I guess about the Grave Warden (toxic, veeery toxic) but I've got no idea about the Red Butchers (if they are WE, what it seems), because they already got a close combat gladiator squad. Some kind of Destroyer Squad, a medium range unit, or something like that maybe?

Kol...you alive there, mate? =)

Yeah, I was asleep.

Hmm, okay. Excited for the Night Lords stuff, but why do the Word Bearers get Mk III shoulder pads and Proteus Doors and the Night Lords don't?

Does anyone know if Mk II shoulder pads(or Mk IV) shoulder pads are interchangeable?

I'd say Mk4, having a far thinner trim, is much more stealthy. The big trim on MkIII shoulders would shine and reflect light all over the place, effectively ending any stealth. Although they'll probably do those as well, further down the line.

As far as I know, all shoulders are interchangeable for all the armour Marks.

Stealthy's not my thing. Kin of like Freddy Krueger in that aspect; you have plenty of warning that I'm coming. It's your fault if you stay.

Just watched the video. Those Night Lord rules are very fluffy rules and can be pretty damaging, for both sides.

For example, there's one that whenever Night Lords outnumber a unit they are assaulting by at least one model(the Bulky as two and Very Bulky as three do apply for counting out), the Night Lords get +1 to wound.

But then we turn around and the Night Lords all have to fall back +1 inch more than normal.

But then any Night Lords Primary attachment(not just those with Legiones Astartes Night Lords) get Night Vision.

And then we get the last rule, whenever the Warlord dies, any unit with an IC does a Morale check as though they had lost 25% if the unit(IIRC).

I have a feeling I might like these guys. B)

Grave Warden, I've heard that before. Why does it sound familiar?

I thought those were the Deathshroud who there were always at least two near his person and they were never more than 49 paces away?

EDIT: Oh, and Nostraman Axe Glaive.

And just saying, but when(might be a few hundred years from now) I get my hands on that Terror Squad, it will have red hands.

Deathshroud are Mortarions honour guard. The Grave Wardens are the elite of the Death Guard terminators under Typhus - think the Justaerin of the Death Guard.

Aw shucks, all you had to do was say Terminator Elite and I'd be going in the right direction msn-wink.gif

Okay, news news news news news.

Apparently Forgeworld is putting both Loyal and Traitor Imperial Army at Istvaan V. On a side note, I did guess correctly in saying that the Titan Legio was the Firebrands.

The Grave Wardens are the Terminator elite of the IVX Legion. At least according to The Lion but I can't remember if that's the designation of the entire company or just Typhon's elite, much in the same way the Atramentar are Sevatar's.

And that rule about running away further than everyone is else has more fluff than a dozen bear sized bunnies covered in candy floss

Tried looking up Atarus' meaning, couldn't find anything in Latin. Closest I could find was Ataru, a Japanese verb meaning to hit a target, which is where famous videogame and console maker Atari got its name. Rather fitting, and nice to see them go beyond the Latin phrases common to Titan Legios. Considering Mortis' common name is Death Heads, I'm sure Atarus could still have Firebrands as their Low Gothic name.

It does. See?

By the way, I found my new sig:

"We have received your offer of surrender and reject it; we did not come to receive your supplication but to enact judgement. The time to surrender has long passed. The verdict is writ by your own hands. Now is the time to die."

The Pacification of Listrantia IV

EDIT: Apparently the IH 52nd Expedition arrived in time for the assault on Istvaan V. So yeah, there will be Iron Hands other than the Morlocks.
