I wanted to tomahawk the dude when it said he only used skull white primer, nuln oil wash, and ceramite white drybrush.

You wanna know who does that same exact paint scheme but cant get his models to look like that? Look no further

Yeah I used to do black first, but its such a pain.

Plus the blue comes out really rich if you use white primer imho. I just use kantor blue on the pads and brasslord with ghenna gold highlights and the shoulders look great.

Im a lazy bum who doesn't know which end of a camera to plug in to the computer haha.

Despite the stereotype about people my age being innately good with teknology.

Im the ork boy of all things electronic. I just hit it till it works.

Dont worry Jasp Ill get some up here soon. I have most of my army built and some painted, but I have a bunch of bare resin guys and some still painted in the livery of the Flesh tearers (they look great but need the white and blue instead)

Actually, I think he has a couple more steps. Following the photo after the Base/wash/drybrush/detail comment, he adds

With the main colours painted on, Marius added transfers to each of his

models before covering each of them in a dirty wash to give them that

filthy, mid-battle appearance. It's a technique that's covered in great

detail in the Model Masterclass books from Forge World.

So it looks like the dude sneaks in another wash/weathering step.

Wow Poom, best WE I have seen actually. You didnt overdo anything except maybe slightly too much wash on the vehicles but it does give a nice "been hit with acid rain" type look.

You guys have quick processes. Try my Night Lords, even better since its a fun heresy list which is almost all infantry. Black primer, heavy drybrush Kantor blue, kantor blue highlight, Ultramarine blue(equivalent) highlight on that, Nuln oil in recesses during final part, lightning bolt blue lightning bolts, white line in those. Vermin brown terror marking, Skull white over that, sepia on the bottom edges of that. Gold: Chainmail, reddish gold over that, sepia over that, heavy burnished gold highlight over that. Then whatever other details and such to individulaize them.

Waiting to see pics of the terror squads and Night Raptors. Hell I would like to know what a Terror Squad even is since I need three of them apparently for my Rite of War. My bank account is going to want to hurt me.

Yes after the drybrushing I add an oilcolor wash, basicly black and brown oilcolor mixed with alot of white spirit.

You can find a wip thread over at the ammobunker:

Glad you like them smile.png

Thanks dude, you inspire us all.

Ha I would not even dare doing half the stuff you do with a knife around FW resin for fear of destroying it.

Is there a way to do the second stage wash for dummies? I dont really want to mess with mineral spirits for now, im still in the learning curve sweat.gif

Any hope for today gents?

Its a Friday, can we expect the Kharybdis or the terror unit?

Hopefully no trolls

Ironic: Yesterday so many 30K fans were trolled, by a literal troll.

Haha I would like this, but evidently I have been a like whore and cant like no mores

Ahhh that subtle forgeworld humor. It would've been more funny if they did it today but the joke was not lost.

Lol maybe they saw my earlier post about being grumpy that they released a WHFB model instead of more HH stuff...what a bunch of trolls :P

come onnnn Kharybdis.......full of red butchers......led by Khârn........who hangin out with argel tal............surrounded by devourers

...with sevatar hanging off the side....

or.....perched on the top like a bat.....wait to bats perch....no they hang upside down.....upside down sevatar wouldn't be too intimidating

You kidding? A giant skull-faced looney bin hanging upside down while swinging around a chainglave would be downright terrifying.

yea......but what if he slipped......wallbash.gif haha hell id take sevatar any way i can im almost as pumped for his model as i am for Khârn
