Incoming Heresy models

I do, though the incoming models for Salamanders are Pyroclasts and Firedrakes. I don't know if the Pyre Guard is even mentioned in the Massacre book.

I think I'll have to get each primarch plus a terminator bodyguard unit, so Firedrakes + Vulkan, Morlocks + Ferrus, Phoenix Guard + Fulgrim, Justaerin + Horus etc. although I'm not sure who BG's Alpharius/Omegon, Perturabo or Lion El'Johnson - any ideas on those? and I know Angron hated the idea of BGs :(

We don't know the name of every bodyguard unit, in some Legions they seemed less important.

 

Alpha - don't know

Imp. Fists - Huscarls

Iron Warriors - Iron Circle (these are automatons, not marines)

Lion El'Jonson - don't know, he's never appeared with them by his side

Ultramarines - don't know

Night Lords - don't know, I actually think he didn't have any

Omegon hangs out with his Effrit stealth squad, and Alpharius probably hangs around the Lernaean terminator squad led by his bud Sheed Ranko...or just a regular squad of marines...

Angron's bodyguard were the Devourers but it's stated in Betrayer that he has nothing but contempt for them since their terminator armour prevents them from keeping pace with him during battle. Plus they are not even the best warriors in the Legion anymore, that being generally accepted as Khârn and Delvarus.

 

Khan has his kishig who are terminators but that seems a tad strange given the preference for speed in the V Legion.

 

Gulliman has 4 Primarch's Honour Guard but there's nothing specifically listed about them bar a few lines in Know No Fear

Aye I'm hoping for models for the Keshig, although I'm expecting artificer armour and/or bikes for them tbh. I'll probably get Devourers for Angron just for fun, it would be nice if they do both the Effrit Stealth squad and Lernaen's.

Now if they were like warp spiders they would be perfectly in tune with the Khan, but he strikes me as like Angron, he simply moves far too quickly for a terminator honour guard to keep up with him

Being as strict as he is with his lightning warfare style, I'm sure he wouldn't break it with his honour guard of all units. Surely he uses them to the best of their abilities.

Unless they really do go ahead and make tartaros terminator armour as lighter/more mobile

Yeah, definitely can't forget the teleport abilities of terminator armour, and the fact that does have it's own style of rapid, in your face assault to it. 

 

Although that seems more of a way to utilize them as a combat asset on a bigger scale than as honour guard, who I would expect traditionally stay with the boss and guard him from harm...as much as they can, anyway.

I would love to get devourers, but iim afraid they were replaced by the red butchers....dont get me wrong the butchers are gorgeous but i was hoping for devourers

So are they not doing the Devourers anymore? I thought the Red Butchers were just another Elite CC-heavy WE unit, like the rampagers but in TDA?

They might do Devourers, but not anytime soon, it seems. The Eaters aren't meant to appear again for a while.

i just remember hearing Devourers were supposed to be at gamesday, but yea since theyre not relevant until the shadow crusade maybe they will show up then

Also, Red Butchers and a few blingy bits are pretty much all you need to do some proper Devourers, I'd say.

A big three-way brawl would be a novel thing to see in a model/diorama thing like Fulgrim & Ferrus, although maybe not one involving those three guys in particular.

I like this Khârn-Argel Tal idea. A lot.

 

But is Argel Tal in the book? My guess is the both of them might see a release in the Calth chapter.

Most likely not. Other than being only Terran and Vulkan's "Mournival", I didn't really see anything that'd separate them from a normal upper-rank command squad.
