Vulkan will have 'BRO4LIFE' proudly emblazoned on his breastplate.

These raptors would make good World Eaters if the heads are separate.

Thats just cuz theyre stealing our skullz and chainaxes and getting better rules, but I wasn't going to be the one to bring that up :P

As your regional warlord I demand access to the golden coast for longboarding during the winter. I will allow you passage to my great mystical pine tree land and Crater Lake, where you must sacrifice a million illegal immigrants to sate the bloodlust of the might volcano.

On topic: I'm really pumped to see some terror squads and Nightlords upgrade heads and torsos.

I'm hoping they put Mortarion into an action pose of sorts. I will be majorly disappointed if it's a model in the same vain as the unofficial Mortarion models, just kind of strolling along. I wonder if there will be any releases today, or if yesterday was it.

A longboard?

Are you in college? Are you a bro? Do you listen to Sublime and drink 40's?

:D haha just kidding after all

Im suprised Kol doesn't want Detroit! It would be a great NL playground :P

No my goal would to be to purge those sub humans. I'm your typical northwest resident, dark beer or micro brews, camping, hiking and hunting great beasts....err game animals

Midwest abhuman :P

I agree with you, but I would add scotch to the list. Real men drink scotch.

Lol I'm from Chicago area and my praetor fluff has him from the arctic swamps of Chi who fights gutter trash from the narco sprawls of Detroi

LOL!

depthcharge that is an awesome background for your praetor. Grounded in current social structures and background. Love it. Also I have a few really delicious peaty scotches right now in my cabinet. My wife hates scotch so I'm lucky I have it all to myself. That and good pipe tobacco. I love smoking pipe tobacco. I'm probably drawn to the Dark Angels because of my northwestern heritage as Caliban really strikes a cord with me because of its geographic similarities. Large old growth forests with large animals etc. If you've ever visited one of our Oregon parks on the coast you will know what I'm talking about, or the Washington rainforests.

On Topic: I too would love to see a dynamically posed Mortarian. He is such a badass in combat which really should be expanded on. I really hope The Lion will be posed "in action" and I have a feeling it will be with either Luther mini diorama or Curze.

Thanks guys!

I will expand upon it when I get around to making my model thread sweat.gif

My praetor grew up among the semi nomadic Blackhauk tribe who occasionaly are joined by their blood brothers the Behr tribe, who make probing incursions and raids among their enemies in Detroi (specifically the Red winger Syndicate)

lol that might be a little OTT sick.gif

Everything Ive noticed about FW that makes their fluff so great is that they take themes and motifs from certain cultures and expound upon them and make them grimdark haha

@weber

hmm im suspicious..."pipe tobacco" that close to california? whistlingW.gif

haha just kidding after all

You know, Im curious as to what direction FW will go with the DAs. I like the knight aspect more than anything, but I also enjoy the subtle nods to Native American culture too. I hope they bring up the latter as well, I enjoyed the trials of the neophytes in that book with Astelan

depthcharge, I have a good feeling that the DAs will have a solid mix of both. Its interesting however that the Dark Angels have had both Knightly and Native American influences. It seems that during the Horus Heresy and crusade eras they were more knightly. It will be difficult to find a happy medium of both as those themes have some very divergent cultures. However a constant there is an Honor Code and quests of martial skill. I see more and more that the Ravenguard are becoming the Native American influenced legion. Who knows though as a true Dark Angel there may be things happening in the shadows which will influence the future of the Legion. whistling.gif

Well I mean the Dark Angels are Loyalists.

Right? RIGHT?!?!

+Purge this database and return to the Rock. This worm will hear the screams of the arch traitor.....+

We can go with that.... Bwahahaha

Muahahaha ...haaa...haaaa *COUGH* Blades of reason *COUGH* bwahahaha

On Topic: I'm really looking forward to Book III and the Battle of Phall and the rules for Sigismund and his Templars unit. I'm guessing it will be some sort of Close Combat Breacher unit.

Btw anyone with the book, I saw a picture floating around with a contemptor dreadnaught with some sort of seige drill arm, can someone confirm this?

The thing that gets me about Mortarion is, he's an awesome Primarch... he's pretty much the embodiment of Death. His rules make him a force to be reckoned with, and yet... in the HH books, you never actually see his combat prowess. We have no idea what he's capable of, other than killing Xenos and regular ole Astartes.
