I found them.... They look great, but the models are covered in Iron Hands symbols, which is unacceptable... So ill probably be switching those shields with regular breached shields and replace all the iconography shoulders with plain ones.

 

No Iron Hands on Immortals. Period.

It states in the Immortal's fluff that they are stripped of all Legion and clan iconography save the Legion numeration 'X'and a black skull on white inset as a sign of their mortality and intentions. Because of that, I'll be buying a couple packs of Death Guard shoulderpad, remove the spikes on the halo, and use that as their should pard.

Which I think is an awesome idea, but makes me wonder why they litter the models with Iron Hands images...

 

Not that I mind, they'll go great on my many other Marines and breachers but still... Why go against their own fluff?

Aye the FW gents had some out today (sadly not for sale as they're not in full production yet) but they are deffo the Immortals - as Noctus states, they're named Immortals in an ironic sense, they seek death in repentance of their failure to keep Ferrus and the Morlocks from being slain.

 

I'll probably end up using them as my breacher marines and use semi-converted ones for my Immortals, also not sure if the Gorgons will get their own models but it seemed highly likely and the the Red Butchers look even better (if that's possible) in person :p

Well, as far as fluff goes, Immortals are just failures in general, not just those who failed to protect Ferrus Manus.

 

Its a long standing tradition of the Legion.

I'd say it's easier to add detail. Removing icons and whatnot is tricky, especially if you don't intend on covering the spot up.

and then you have to worry about damaging what's underneath or small details you want to keep in the process...

 

I'll have some pics of the IH squad up later today (now I have an extra hour) as they're going to be my PA Comm Sqd, combat shields, some power weapons, plasma pistols, a Volkite charger, a PF, LC and some melta bombs - tops out at near 300pts but should provide some decent protection if my praetor's having to go PA instead of TDA.

Any ideas about when Horus is coming out? I heard rumours that he was being worked on back in september and I hope he comes out around the end of the year (and my birthday :D).

 

I also saw some pictures of the Night Lords raptos: Oh man... those are some sweet looking killers!

Seeing the raptors in person makes me like them a LOT - sure they look very similar in style to the 'new' CSM Raptors, however they look brutal, scary and completely NL :p

I still like the new raptor models, even if I think their helmets are meh. If I planned on playing Night Lords I would use them, would just need to switch the heads and backpacks (I hate Mk II jump packs. Ill take the Mk IV one thank you)

The Red Butchers need to come out. I require them for my Autek Mor conversion and his Command Squad.

They did have grave warden models - same timescale as the Immortals - so next 2-3 months tops was the estimate chaps :)
