Apparently the guy behind the Night Raptors and Kakophoni will be doing the Terror Squad too but is currently working on something else.Shame...I really want to see the Terror Squad. Should really get the Kakophoni painted first though.

I love the detail in these models, but I can't help but see the guy in the first photo on the left and thinking "why is his foot dislocated?" - and there's another one in the second photo, also on the left. I know they're meant to be landing / in the air, but ankles don't bend that way regardless of whether they're in power armour or not.

Ankles can bend anyway, it just isn't always pleasant for the owner of said ankle.

Although a boot made out of metal with metal ankle guards coming alongside certainly does make certain angles more difficult to achieve than others.

Difficult, painful, need to use a power hammer to achieve. It is all the same to the dark prince.

It also makes breaking the ankle all the more impressive. Besides coming in for a landing too hot can easily overcome the tensile strengths of the boot, resulting in broken ankles.

I disagree on the first, check some photos of martial artists about to deliver a kick for similar ankle position. As to the second, I'll defer judgement until a see it from another angle.

Was actually going to say similar. It's a possition associated with movement. More likely seen in pics of dancers, martial artists and footballers. I can comfortably put my feet in similar positions.

But the thing that gets me is the details. Body parts and the winged helms (which don't look stupid for once).

Can they do it in metal boots with ankle guards though? I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand it is doable, even in certain types of shoes and boots. But I'm not sure about metal ones.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that if we add some right basing, all the concerns about their feet will disappear.

What. the hell. is going on with the Balleraptors? How did they manage to make such a cool concept look so lame? They look so dainty and precious... the posing is god awful.

The jetpacks looks great, the detail looks great, hell I don't even mind the masks (I think they're quite cool) but that posing is just shocking. Watch out guys, the scary fairies are coming for you!

Huge, huge deal breaker for me.

but think - these guys are swift, speed is one thing that's very hard to put into a model and posing is everything, I agree they look a tad dainty BUT they all have movement and speed - I know it's just imo but that's the key for me :)

They do look much nicer/better in person as well :)

Wait... Are the emperors children getting night raptors now? :p

I don't understand... Can you honestly think of anything scarier than 8 foot tall, power armor wearing, chainsaw wielding fairies? That's horrifying. Terror tactics indeed!

Edit: italics for emphasis.

Yes. Heathens in a tutu.
