Has Mortarion been started already? Or are you just saying that because he's in the first book?

I don't think so. We honestly don't even know if he's next, although it'd be pretty ironic if he was the seventh Primarch released.

Screw that, the seventh should be Dorn.

Screw Nurgle's ritual number, the Seventh Found of the Seventh Legion!

Nobody cares about Dorn? The Emperor cares. Who else did he take with him to fortify the Palace, who else did he trust most? Perturabo? No, not that shell-shocked old fool. Only Dorn.

When Horus betrayed the Emperor, who responded first? Who gathered the loyal sons to assault the traitor? It wasn't Manus, though he was given command of that mission. It wasn't Guilliman, the Lion or Sanguinius. It was Dorn.

Rogal Dorn, the Emperor's Champion and Protector, who stood firm against Horus and never once relented.

The question is, who cares for Mortarion? The fool who ran willingly into the arms of the Warp because his fear and hatred of it? Who was broken by the powers he courted and disdained, forced to kneel and beg for eternal servitude to the very thing he rebelled against?

No, good sir. For the VII. For the Praetorians of Terra. For Dorn.

For the Emperor!

Dorn, who stood firm and alone against a Black Crusade and whose death broke them, a sissy.

Not the guy who got heart-carved by Draigo. A soldier of his enemy held his heart in his hands and let him live because he wasn't worth the effort.

Yeah, okay.

Indeed. Cast yourself in golden plate, and you can hide from the world the brittle core beneath. Only until force is applied, that is.

My Iron is within, and without. One and the same. Power, sheathing strength. Function, plating form. Thus it has been, and ever will be so.

The Iron Warriors make play with their words, but they ring hollow. They mask themselves in iron and like to pretend it runs them through.

The Imperial Fists hide nothing. They armor themselves in gold to proudly display the honor and nobility that lies beneath.

Just to point it out the VII's "iron within", kept your iron without. That the VII, V and IX were able to deny fully half the legions is either an epic feat of arms or just proves the traitors weak and deserving a slow death at the hands of the long war.

We all know dorn was broken.

Mortarion was fooled into his pacts, he wanted to be free of tyranny and once he made his oaths to Horus he would not brake those oaths, he suffered and gave into nurgle to save the death guard not himself.

So me I'm angry depressed suicidal and stupidly took on a black crusade by himself doesn't deserve sympathy or glory.

Stubbornness isn't courage and pride is what gets fools killed
