It'll probably slow down for a bit, then pick up with multiple big releases in the few weeks leading up to Christmas to make people hurry to buy it so it ships in time for Christmas day, along with some cool bundles and deals that knock a few bucks off. Then they will probably slow down for a bit to keep a steady stream of product flowing out until Extermination is ready for release, then ramp it up again for the weekender and again for games day followed by the Christmas/quarter 1 of 2015 release of Prospero.

They've already told us that their final shipping date for Christmas time is 4th December for US and 29th November for ROW deliveries.

So this week will be when it all happens, if anything happens at all.

I shall sharpen my pitchfork and kindle my torch until then!!!

the mob is getting anxious....

No kidding! I'm actually waiting for one specific release before Christmas too...

(IA2E2:WMotAA, if you're curious. Not a HH release though...)

Whats WMotAA? i am curious haha

oh and you can join the mob, but its BYOPF (Bring Your Own PitchFork) :D

Ya know, despite me hating on the crowd who want to use 30k vehicles (I guess some is ok, but with today's crowd, alot is cherry picking, but I am generalizing and a hater haha) I want to see who would use a spartan.

Which chapters would use a spartan since most adhere somewhat to the Codex and dont have squads large enough to justify using the spartan.

Maybe the Astral claws as they had larger units and chargy units or maybe deathwing, who would need transport capacity for 10 termies

And any chapter that specializes in shock assult. Remember smaller squads doesn't equal waisted space. It equals more squads in a transport. I could defiantly see the wolves using one. Or the charcaradons for that matter...

I don't even know what a Spartan does, but The boater's post tells me all I need to know!

And mostly, I'm hoping they actually bother to put the rules for Contemptors in IA2E2. I honestly cannot be bothered keeping up with which book has the most up-to-date rules for those (I think it's Apocalypse 2013?).

Especially because I have two that I want to use.

It has a 25 man cap actually so you could do 10 man termies plus two TDA characters in one transport. That plus the quad lascannons makes for an apc that you really can't help but love :P

Edit: dang it heathens, you beat me to the punch line

I'm going off of the horus heresy books (but there shouldn't be much change in that)

25 cap

2 quad linked lascannons (or laser destroyers)

Twin linked heavy bolter (or heavy flamethrower)

All in a nice little package for about the cost of a landrader Achilles...

It really is a good apc for the cost of it.

Oh and +1 hp and can get flare shield (-1S from shots in the front arc and -2 to blasts for the cost of a power fist).

the spartan laughs as battle cannon shots from the front arc cant hurt it, vindicator shots can only scratch the paint, and anything but a destroyer weapon just gets laughed off.

Add ceramite armor and now meltas cant do jack against it either. for a little above 350 pts with all the gubbins IT WILL NOT DIE

you know you want to join 30k now instead Disruptor........part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the crew, part of the ship, part of the........

The most recent rules for the Spartan outside 30k are in IA Apocalypse (2013).  It loses the flare shield option but keeps most everything else.  It's a scary beast alright, but not so bad in a 40k setting, with things like haywire, grav or necrons being able to deal with them more easily than a legion list can.

I'm a big fan of the Spartan, especially running a Pride of the Legion army. Great for moving Cataphractii around the board. I'll give mine Armoured Ceramite, Flareshields, Extra Armor, and a Multi-Melta. They're not exactly cheap, but they're nigh-unstoppable and shrug off pretty much anything. That and even if you DO pop them, there's a full squad of Terminators in it so... good luck.
