daveNYC
Lorgar looks like a 40 year old with a bit of a beer gut. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3539246 Share on other sites
GrandMagnus
Isnt he a lot taller than the other primarchs? Is the base confusing me? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3539251 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
I think he's roughly the same height, both the base is taller and he's the only one who's standing up straight - angron & ferrus are hunched and fulgrim's leaping like it's a high jump comp. Brother Keyaetus
Love that model, kinda tempted to splash out on it....oh does anyone know when the last day in december is that I can order from forgeworld? Iron Hands Fanatic
Overall, I like the mini, but everytime I look at it, I have to remind myself that the lower half of the crozius is hidden between his body & the cloak - it looks like where he's holding it is the end of the haft, and that would be incredibly difficult to do because of the weight of the head - I kinda wish the lower haft was sculpted projecting behin the cloak, so you could at least see it. Â Also, the face looks a touch old for a primarch who is supposed to appear to be at the age of 30, in the Emperor's visage (but that might just be the shading). Â Im a big fan of the rest of the model - but I can't stop thinking about how the crozious looks from the front - but it looks like it would be relatively easy to just cut & rotate the wrist. Marshal Rohr
I wish the kits would come with optional helmets. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3539360 Share on other sites
Knight of the Raven
I agree, if only because I liked Vulkan's helmet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3539361 Share on other sites
Conn Eremon
I wish the kits would come with optional helmets. I unliked this, just so I could like it again. Ever since Angron came out, I've been hoping for some Primarch helms. Not because the heads look bad or anything (Ferrus Manus looks amazing) but because it would just look so much more awesome. Marshal Rohr
I'm a firm believer that everyone wears a helmet in 40K. Also, it would be cool to see some sci-fi versions of classic helmets. Dorn in a picklehaube, Guilliman in a helmet like Marneus Calgar's honor guard, the Lion with the Lionhelm.  It would just be so damn cool. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3539366 Share on other sites
DuskRaider
Lorgar's face reminds me way too much of Kor Phaeron's. Has kind of that blank hapless expression. helterskelter
I think he looks a bit haggard. And that free hand should be doing something else. Anything other than what its doing. DuskRaider
Yeah, he's got that Thousand Yard Stare... 'I've seen heretical things... and stuff'... Â As for the tattooing, I think they kinda missed the mark, as I was under the impression that he had so much that his skin actually appeared to be gold. Then again, it was just the painter's interpretation, I'm sure others will do it quite differently. Ada
Like his armour, however his face doesn't say Lorgar to me. He looks similar to Kor Phearon in some ways. Much like to his true father, Lorgar is a little disappointing to me :). Lord Tharand
I dig Lorgar. Â Yeah his face might be a little too fat but I think the pose is really cool and his armor is amazing. Â He might end up being the first Primarch I decide to purchase. Lorgar's sculptor nailed it... the little disappointing primarch You made me audibly go "aww".  I like the model, the detailing is a bit large for me (sure FW does more finer indentations) but that might be because they don't want to risk casting failure with such a centre piece model.  Apart from taking him off that base, him posed alongside erebus and kor phaeron with the former whispering in his ear would make for a brilliant diorama, so I guess the sculptor nailed the emotionality. DuskRaider
Inside source of mine has been working on painting up some new Deathguard units that haven't been seen yet. Also work has begun on Space Wolves book art and the like. I haven't heard anything that indicates the Legions from the first two books will even be getting anything in the third one. I'd be happy to see it, but I highly doubt it'll happen. Russ Brother 92
I get the feeling that the 3rd book will be ALL about those legions inside, perhaps there will be some more mechanicum units (would be nice to have different FA instead of the Lightning or Avenger) other'n that I'm with DuskRaider, I doubt we'll see other units until after the 2nd Trilogy starts and even then it may just be a character. ImpiousSmart
In my mind somewhere I thought I'd read that in both of the subsequent books in the first trilogy that there would be new units / characters for all the legions of covered so far. But maybe that was just some speculation / hopeful anticipation. Marshal Rohr
Every Trilogy will offer units and options for the legions covered in the Trilogy. IW, RG, AL, and IF will all get two unique units and a few characters, but the legions from book 1&2 should also have a few more units added in too. Or at least access to the Assault Claw and the Fire Raptor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270656-incoming-heresy-models/page/83/#findComment-3540019 Share on other sites
Ada
The Death Gaurd are yet to turn to nurgle, that change alone should provide some extra units. Book II introduced armour fluff, and all of Book I's Legions got expanded on with that as well as a brief summary. Book III will likely do the same.
