I don't see Typhon dueling with anyone. Garro hasn't been involved with any battles against his former brethren save on the Eisenstein. For much of the Heresy, didn't Typhon pretty much just chill on Terminus Est? I will guess he stepped foot on Isstvan V, but I don't have the book so I don't know for a fact. Something tells me he's the first lone character. Then again, he's cool enough to not need a sidekick.

Yeah but as recently as the FW Heresy event they have said only characters which appear in both their work and BL's work will get models.

If by illegally, you mean someone typed in a 2 and then a 3 in the address for the first puzzle piece image. There were daring shenanigans involved to get those photos off of the Forge World servers. Many Boffins died to bring us this information!

 

Typhon looks like he will be a standalone, and that he has a 40mm base sunk into the top of the display base so you can pull him out for gaming easily.

I cam see Typhon as a stand-alone, after all he's a major player (like Khârn, Lucius, Sigismund etc) throughout the Heresy, it looks like a great centrepiece but I hope for closer, more detailed pics with the next newsletters :p

and back on-topic - I kinda hope they release some Sally love soon, c'mon my IHs have 1 unique unit, primarch + contemptor, WEs have all that + an extra unit, ECs same as WEs, DG now have character + 2 units, SoH have 2 units + contemptor - heck even NLs have 1 unit + upgrade bits... Technically Sallies have their Dread character but that's a 'regular' FW dread character, so tbh I feel doesn't count.

I'm pretty sure the leak is an intentional one and they just want to give us a false sense of security just to shock us with the awesome reveletion of the second half of the character pair afterwards.

Which will have to be the Emperor for this scheme to truly work.
