The Butchers are my favorite HH models to date. Absolutely brutal.

At first I was like 'Yeah I can pass on the Butchers, they are ok but I'm not much of a Terminator guy.'

 

Then I saw that helmet.

 

Alas, credit card, you must continue to suffer.

My first reaction upon seeing the model was "Angron wants your skull . . . For his own!"

 

If I ever get any models, that is. :p

I am interested in the kharybdis assault pod.

 

I want to see if it can be built in fly mode and transform into landing mode.

 

Though i am disappointed that the claws aren't sharp. How is it suppose to breach a star ships hull with blunt claws?

i'm going to guess that the idea would be that the meltas 'soften' the armour and then the blunt claws just push through? think I'll assume thats how it works till I read a proper description somewhere :D

I wonder if FW actually caught wind of all the grief people were giving the "Potato Head" ramapager squad, and decided to give the Butchers a helmet option?

I really like that Typhon. Anyone familiar with 40K will recognise who it is.

IMO that one blows the 40k model out of the game. Might be slightly biased by the fact that it's at least 12 years old but this latest one is streets ahead

I love the Typhon model, he looks properly brutal for the First Captain of the XIVth. I'm glad they included a helmeted option as well, it looks great.

I really do NOT like the shoulder pads - especially the Iron Warriors' ones. They seem devoid of sculpting detail. The IW skull has a quality of its own but these seem too generic to me...

 

Typhon looks great - I really like it when they give movement to terminator armoured minis... Very well executed!

Yeah the old mini was nice, but this one is excellent.

Also, very good paintjob! He looks much more tainted with those scratch and corrosion marks than with his molten armour dripping from him.

I really do NOT like the shoulder pads - especially the Iron Warriors' ones. They seem devoid of sculpting detail. The IW skull has a quality of its own but these seem too generic to me...

Typhon is very cool. But at the same time I kind of wish he'd be bit more Imperial in his looks. As it stands he's quite close to Typhus model already.

 

I see nothing wrong with the Iron Hands shoulder pads, but those Iron Warrior ones are truly horrible.

And what would make him look more "Imperial"? He looks like the First Captain of the XIV should; if you want something less dirty you'll have to look elsewhere... Maybe Fulgrim's peacocks? Getting gross is kind of the Death Guard's thing, even before the Heresy.

He looks far more Imperial than the Grave Wardens, IMO. I wish their venting systems were more like those of the Typhon model.

But he looks pretty badass, particularly those shoulder pads.

I'm not sure to be honest, and as I said I do like him. It might be the helmet, as I looked at the bare head version and I think I like that even more.

And, no, no shining peacocks for Death Guard for me either. I prefer them dirty and battleworn, knee deep (at least) in mud.
