Legion Missile Launcher Set...!

A wee bit indeed, since I don't think you can get them to work with 40k-era models withought a fair bit of work- You're going to need FW's 30k heavy weapons teams.

Still nice, mind you, it's just not going to be easy to use them on the plastic minis.

Are you new or something?

I'm a little baffled by this comment. I generally try to assume the best of people but am having trouble interpreting your (apparently rhetorical?) question as a friendly, well-intentioned contribution to these boards. I'm sure you must have meant it as a constructive remark but I fear clarification may be needed here...

Regarding the other comments... yeah, obviously these are only good if you're into the pre-heresy style (and work best with the forgeworld heresy dev units). In terms of $$$ though, they're a very good deal, but it will depend on FW/GW pricing in your country (in New Zealand, where I live, forge world is hardly any different in price to games workshop...) Missile launchers aren't exactly cheap from bitz sites/ebay, and conversions can be a pain.

I for one know that for now, if I build any extra ML longfangs, they'll be mk iv biggrin.png

Great price for a missile launcher set to be sure, but I just can't bring myself to like the 30K missile launchers. The Autocannons are AMAZING and I am super jealous that we can't take them, Heavy Bolters are awesome (love those drums), the Las and Plasma cannons are neat, the Multimeltas are a bit meh (don't like the shoulder mounted look) but the Missile Launcher is just... bizarre. It doesn't look like a missile launcher, it looks like a Fuel-Rod cannon from the video game "Halo", and not in a good way...

Anyways, after I followed this fantastic guide, I was never wanting for ML Long Fangs again :D

The question if you are new or not comes from the fact that the HH era missile launchers have been for sale from FW for quite sometimes. They are just rerolling them out again as part of the promotion to sell the HH dev units.

Pretty sure they haven't been available outside of the special weapons pack (which contained only 2) for at least a couple years.

Yep, that's right.

Yep!

Actually, if you look at the image on the website, the components look like they will fit the standard space wolves/ space marine component sizes. And really, when adding them to a pack of long fangs, it adds to the sense of hierarchy/the honour that comes with holding these mighty war weapons....so it adds more of a feel to the army.

This is what Im going to add to my long fangs too, thanks for the locating :)

actually...ive spotted ONE small(ish) problem: they still need bl**dy missile launcher arms, any new ideas?

THey do need some puttering to fit the 40K models- I just cut of the right side pod of the wolf skull backpack but other wise they fit really good. I always get comments on mine at the gaming club & they'rte not even finished yet. I bought 3 of the sets of 2 ML, 2 MG & 2 flamers. Nice thing is they come with the arms.

Where did you get the arms? they don't come with arms in the five missile set (i know you got the ones WITH arms, but i cant)...so what holds them otherwise? just the trigger hand of a pistol? with the other arm using a chain sword?

I used this one instead of the 5 ml onehttp://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-and-Accessories/SPAC__MARINE_SPECIAL_WEAPONS_PACK.html it is better if you want an easy time converting since you get all the parts you need.

The one Styrbjorn has linked is the set I got. Like I said, the arms come with it & I simply snipped off one of the exhaust ports for the power pack. I bought them before 6th 'cause in 5th it was win/win for me. Melta guns & missile launchers a swell as Flamers for my Blood claws/swift claw packs.
