Tiger9gamer
alright, this stuff has been on my mind for a while (especially after discovering the mortis) what would be the best long range support in our codex? I myself have been thinking about the whirlwind, especially after a game with dark eldar :D have to try it out more, but it's looking to be a very nice addition for me i want to hear some fun units/ combinations, so let me know! IndigoJack
Best? Not sure which one since there are a lot of strong contenders. I would say that I favor the rifleman dread, with the AC/LC pred coming in at a close second. elphilo
I've always loved my Whirlwind. And with the lowering of the points I don't leave home without it. Other than that there isn't any long range stuff I've fallen in love with. I've put using a Predator on the top of my list because I've heard good things about it. Brother Immolator
For anti air there are not many options really (excluding FW). You only can look at flakk missiles and lucky strikes. As for long range, I never leave home without at least 4 lascannons in the list. Wraithwing
I'm planning on using 10x Devastators with 2x Flakk Missiles and 2x Lascannons. I'd love to try a Predator Annihilator, but the lack of reliable AA concerns me. Brother Captain Lucian
I just want to get a 2x kheres Mortis contemptor to shread fliers. For longer range AA i would use Venerable (mostly for the fluff) Dreadnoughts with TL autocannons or lascannons. People might forget them if/when you drop 10-20 terminators on their flank :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/270787-long-range-support-and-aa/#findComment-3298495 Share on other sites

TheForgottenAngel
I absolutely love my twin kheres and cyclone Mortis Contemptors, they essentially make a no fly zone on both sides of the board. As you guessed I typically run them in pairs. Sometimes I'll run one with twin lascannons for higher av targets.
