Augustus
At the end of the story when the Legionary murders the Silversmith and utters the line "I can't say" to the Silversmith's querry of "Why?" is it intended to imply that the Legionary is evil/chaos? The line "I can't say" makes him part of the Lodge. It is really interesting that the Sons of Horus' lodge had actually gone rogue before Davin. Thoughts? Bigger-than-Jesus
I always got that the marine(Targhost IIRC) did it to protect the lodge's secrecy as opposed to him having falling. Cerbero666
I think that the legionary is implied to be Serghar Targost, master of the lodge. I understand that the story is in the moment when Targost started the lodge, that's why he order the silversmith to make the coins of the lodge. So yes, the Luna Wolves' lodge was corrupt before Davin, indeed it is clear that the warrior lodges was the instrument the Word Beares used to change the loyalties of the legion from within, long time before the Heresy itself.
