Raulmichile
Quick question: is a rune staff a force rod as per basic RB or is it a special profile weapon due to its special ability thus having AP3 no strenght bonus? I have been using it as a normal force staff but I'm not sure... Another one related to the first. One of my RP carries an axe instead of a staff. Which profile do I use: force axe, staff or unique? eyeslikethunder
As it has unique CC rules it should by RAW be AP3 no str bonus Unique Force Weapons ... If a weapon has its own unique Close Combat rules, treat as AP3 melee weapon But Njal in the FAQ has Staff/Stave listed against his to muddy the waters. but his is a named item with different rules. Squark
Depends on the gaming group. The RAW reading is that it's an AP 3 at innitiative no strength bonus weapon all the time. RAI is reasonably clear that GW thinks they should use force weapon types, but that's entirely dependent on who you play with. SamaNagol
RAW they are definitely 'Unique Power Weapons' because they follow the ruling in that case exactly. But some people and even some tournaments play them as per their type as modelled. So basically you can model them however you want. Best case scenario you play them as the type you have chosen them to be as modelled. Worst case, they are all S as user AP3 I as user anyway.
