Jimsolo
So here's my dreadnought for my Salamanders army. He's had a rather poor track record in this edition, so he might get benched, but I'm really pleased with the turnout on his legs, as well as the base. The converted heavy flamer came out pretty good, too. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2013/2/12/462886_sm-Vico.JPGhttp://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2013/2/12/462887_sm-Vico2.JPGhttp://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2013/2/12/462888_sm-Vicoleft.JPGhttp://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2013/2/12/462889_sm-Vicoright.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271177-brother-vico-salamanders-dreadnought/ Share on other sites
Brother Callius
It's quite good and I especially like the coil on the flamer On the sour note though: have you considered some shading or highligts? Personally I would have gone with more metallic tones for the legs and piston-bits... But thats just my opinion though and still it's a very nice and clean model Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271177-brother-vico-salamanders-dreadnought/#findComment-3304171 Share on other sites
Garrosh
Your green looks really nice and smooth, but pay heed to what Brother Callius said. With a little shading and highlights this model would really pop. Otherwise very nicely done. Always did like those Sallies. joghurtberserker
I agree with Garrosh and Brother Callius. Imho especially models with bigger flat areas tend to look like toys when they lack shades and highlights. keep up the good work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271177-brother-vico-salamanders-dreadnought/#findComment-3307531 Share on other sites
Jimsolo
I don't go in for highlighting, but I think that Vico could definitely do with some shading! I haven't quite mastered the knack for it yet, so I'm still trying to figure it out. (I never notice any difference after I do a wash...)
