Psycho Wulfen?

So I don't really expect this to be competitive most of the time... but if facing a horde army... Orks in particular, how about a psycho wulfen build?

 

Wolf Guard Battle Leader w/ Mark of the Wulfen, Wolf Tooth Necklace, Saga of the Warrior Born

 

If you really want to be mean, you can give it Runic Armor and a Storm Shield. I chose the Battle Leader over the Lord since MotW is even more wasteful on the Lord, and the Wolf Tooth Necklace is a more meaningful upgrade for a Battle Leader than a Wolf Lord.

 

I would imagine this character would run with a pack of Grey Hunters to benefit from the Wolf Standard and start combat off on the right foot.

 

Just think of the sheer volume of attacks a unit like this could pull off against a low armor save high body count unit. Certainly not competitive, but potentially a lot of fun.

i actually run a wgbl with motw, combi-melta, runic armor and storm shield with grey hunters, and some how have yet to get them into combat, my opponent (usually traitor guard w/ chaos marine allies) tends to throw large amounts of fire power their way, but i think its fun, and ill have to add saga of the warrior born next time and see how it pans out.

 

what i like about running a squad like this is it does have the ability to take on virtualy anything on the board that doesnt fly, depending on how you kit out the unit. if you use grey hunters things can get really fun with re-roling ones and the potential to have three marks in one squad, my idea was to put ten grey hunters, a pack leader, and battle leader in a redeemer for some turn two flamestorm cannon super rending assault fun, its pricey but i think it will work
