Advice on Blood Angels vs. Chaos Daemons

I searched the forums for any tips/experience of Blood Angels versus Chaos Daemons but they were pretty dated posts.   I'm looking for any more tips to build my list versus Chaos Daemons, namely Flamer, Screamer and monstrous creatures spam.

So far these are tips that I've recieved:

1.  Take stuff with invul saves, to help against screamers/flamers:   IE.  Terminators, and Assault Termies with Stormshields, take plenty of Sang priests to give troops feel no pain, avoid sanguinary guard, mephiston or any other expensive units with no invuls.

2.  Versus Flamers: Combat squad your 10 man units and assault with multiple units to help reduce overwatch deaths.

3.  Deploy your forces spread out accross your deployment zone, don't bunch your forces up.

4.  Since AP is somewhat meaningless, take guns with high rates of fire and high strength (ie. heavy bolters, assault cannons hurrican bolter sponsons).   Plasma will kill daemons but may be overkill since the AP doesn't mean much and you have the danger of getting hot.

Can you guys think of anything else?  Especially concerning Blood Angels?  Ideal HQ units?

Cheap naked rhinos to hide in.

4 x flamer honour guard. Add meltabombs for versatility. Divination libby to maximize flamers, as rules permit. (read what powers can be used when, how and why. Rulebook+Faqs)

Corbulo as point man. Use one time-reroll to reroll failed 2+ fnp.

Outflanking dakka baals?

Late arriving fragioso w. Pod?

Pretty sure divination (prescience?) just allows the rerolling of misses, and does not make the flamer twin linked.

If you can whittle them down a bit, Mephy isn't actually that bad vs Screamers. They both hit and wound on 5+ (9 atks per wound), while you're hitting on 3's and wounding on 2's (potentially with rerolls of 1's), so with a bit of luck you can pretty easily take down a half squad without suffering more than a wound or two. I wouldn't take him specifically for fighting Daemons, but I also wouldn't avoid including him just because Daemons are popular/semi-common.

Also Devs with missile launchers aren't bad vs Daemons: Kraks are good against Daemon Princes, wounding on 2's and ignoring any armour save they might have, while Frags are great against anything that just dropped and chose to shoot rather than run.

Sorry, Lazy post.  I was talking about the Divination Primaris power, Prescience, but if you get lucky and roll a five when choosing psyker powers you could get Precognition which is reroll to hit, to wound AND failed saving throws.

I'd go with the heavy bolters on tac squads, maybe even a dev squad or two of them combat squadded for target saturation. Deploy the dev squads on the flanks and then outflank with a pair of dakka Baals as support when the daemons close.

I cannot stress how good sternguard are vs demons. Don't spend to many points upgrading them, just use them barebones and go nuts with hellfire. With the support of a divination Libby (rerolls to hit) they can shred a flamer or screamer squad in a single round of fire. Greater demons and demon princes fare no better.

Corbulo is really good to give them some survivability if you can afford him to.

Also heavy bolter attack bikes are great for giving you a lot of mobility and lots of extra shots.

Fragiso dreads work amazingly well against small-medium sized flamer squads. Throw him in a drop pod, then counter drop on their flamers.

Fight fire with fire ;)

Also Death Company with bolters can do a good job as well.

Vanguard vets deepstriking in with assault marines work too, to take objectives that are away from you deployment (castle) zone. Generally the plaguebearers/horrors etc. will be there and are easier to deal with.

At least with my experience vs Daemons in general, using reserves and playing them at their own game seems to working a hell of a lot better than castling like a guardsman.
