Hello everyone! A friend of mine who is getting into the Pre-Heresy era battles bought a white metal Thunderhawk kit (the same one on page 19 that warns of metal breakdown) and has finally finished it! It is much much smaller than the new Thunderhawks but weighs a ton! This thing is awesome and definitely a piece of GW history. Not too many are around as far as I'm aware.

ENJOY!!!!

OMG! They aren't extinct!woot.gif Rare find indeed. That ranks right up there with the Aormor Cast Bainblade and Eldar Titans. As far as mounting goes you are going to need a weighted steal armature. Think movie shooting mini not game minithumbsup.gif

Seeing as how my baby is up here (yes its mine) I figured I should post on it, Barrel drilling and the lascannon additions will be done tonight. The tally so far for materials is FOUR entire bottles of Glue, 3 bottles Rapidcure, 3 feet of brass rod, and about 8 months of on and off work, the engine carriage assembly was built and rebuilt 3 times. Each time prompting a break. I'm sadly missing 1 of the Heavy bolters on the front sponsons, but hopefully it can be found again. As soon as the million little details are taken care of including one beefy flying stand, it goes to painting.
