The Cyclopes - A Salamanders Assault Terminator Squad

Since I run Salamanders, I figured I would be wasting Vulkan's points if I didn't have at least a couple of thunder hammers in the army.

Hence, Sergeant Arges and the Cyclopes, my assault terminators.

The hammers are made from balsa wood and lollipop sticks.  The cooking section at Hobby Lobby has some neat wargaming applicable stuff.  The shields are lizardmen shields, except for Sergeant Arges, whose shield is the front of a Harlequins jetbike painted up in mutant-Salamander colors.  (If you noticed from the photos, the shield on Arges swivels in his hand.)

Wow, excellent stone effect there Jimsolo! Good usage of some Lizardmen gear too! ;) The Harlequin shield I'm not so sure about, maybe we can get a better pic?

The stone effect is pretty sweet. I would try using a few (as in very, very few) lines of black as well as white, intersected by a few white streaks so they don't stand out too much.

 

Can't say I'm a fan of the Harlequin shield.  It's not very Salamanderish, especially next to much more appropriate lizardmen bits.

 

They are tabletop quality, but they could do a lot better with some highlighting and shading on the green.

Just moved, so I will try to break the camera out whenever I find it and get a better pic up of that Harlequin shield.  Thanks for that advice on the stone bits Firepower, I may have to try that next time around.
