Inquisitors? Help against tyranids

So I'm thinking of some support for my strike squad, now I don't know if they are going to take the bait(he will because he wants to kill everything) but I don't know what against. He has a hive tyrant/swarmlord don't know which possibly both, lictors, death leaper, hive guard, venomthrope, warriors, tervigon, gaunts, raveners, gargoyles, carnies, tyrannofex, Mawlocor one eye. So I want them to be able to handle a bit without being a point pit so I thought... Inquisitors so I came here asking what I should get ( can't aford much over 100 points) I thought of 2 daemonblades nut only one can be used even though they are the same weapon but that's not important the question is what should I ket them with maybe a assassin are they worth it are they too much? So what do you guys think

The urge to spew bile at the idea of Grey Knights working with a radical inquisitor aside, 2 Daemonblades is not a terrible idea- Remember that you can pick which one you're using, so the second Daemonblade basically gives you a second chance to get decent abilities. I don't think he's going to solo a monstrous creature, though.

Inquisitors are generally better used as a support HQ (And for unlocking the amazing value of henchmen). The 2 builds I'd reccomend are an Ordo Malleus inquisitor in Terminator armor with a Psycannon and Daemonhammer (Add Mastery Level 1 for Divination if you so desire), or an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor carrying grenades and, if your metagame doesn't glare at you when you use it, the plasma siphon (Weapon wise, I favor Pistoller Needle pistols for that build).

Or, if you don't mind running a stupidly underpriced HQ, Coteaz is, well, stupidly underpriced.

Honestly, you shouldn't have to worry overmuch about Tyranids. So long as you can shoot down flying hive tyrants -- and you bring a basic, balanced list -- there is very little you have to fear. You can outshoot them like crazy, and they have no defense against your Instant Death force weapons. (Even considering Shadow in the Warp, you'll be able to ID about 50% of the time, which is reliable enough.) But even without ID, power weapons everywhere is awful for 'nids.

Don't worry 'bout it. I haven't ever lost to Tyranids with my GKs going all the way back to 4th edition and the Daemonhunters. Nothing has changed over the editions or codex changes. GKs trump Tyranids in virtually every phase of the game. Always have, probably (unfortunately for the 'bids) always will.

Handy tip, Swarmlord is the guy with four boneswords.

Lictors suck against us, Coteaz just points them out when they appear.

Death Leaper is annoying, as he'll make either Coteaz or your Grandmaster/Libby pretty useless for psychic power support. He's as easy to kill as regular Lictors though, so hunt him down with fast stuff (DK works great).

Hive Guard are pretty annoying, again try flanking with fast units. Keep your PsyDreads back, AP4 means its the only thing that cares about S8 spam.

Venomthrope is okay, its a support piece you can kill off, not that crucial though as most of our guns allow armour on the big guys (ie 3+ saves).

Warriors are delicious PsyDread fodder, laugh at him then remove them Turn 1 with your autocannons.

Tervigon is annoying, you will probably need to engage it in melee to prevent a unceasing horde of Gaunts. Again, DK or jamming Terminators up in his face works great.

Gaunts are largely ignorable, just keep thinning them out so you can get to the Tervigon.

Ravenors die like Warriors, Coteaz and Strike 'Quake' keep them from appearing near your lines.

Gargoyles are a bad joke, again fodder like Gaunts.

Carnifex die once they hit melee, although that plasma cannon spit they can do is brutal. Send in the DK to kill the brood, he just has to turn on force weapon.

Tyrannofex will be used to kill your PsyDreads, although he is Landraider price. DK is again your best bet, or jamming Terminators into it.

Mawlock is hard countered by Coteaz and 'Quake', and it dies in melee due to force weapons everywhere.

One Eye is a bad joke.

Get Coteaz. He is exactly 100 points, and he is better than any other Inquisitor we can field. I'd only get the second Inquisitor if you really need the Mindlock support (ie a second plasma cannon servitor unit) or you want re-rolls on something (like Purifiers or Terminators).

As Squark mentioned, Inquisitors are more support than killy. If you want a killy hero, go Grandmaster. He makes stuff scoring, brings on Reserves earlier, and he is a god in challenges (hammer, 2+/4++, excellent combat statline).

Thank you guys coteaz it is cant wait for him to mishap and get shot at when he gets near I tried pressing like this to all your posts but can't

Really appreciate it if u stay tuned for a long time( he ordered his tyranids off bitz barn) and I will give you report
