Fredegar Kadere
Nothing in the lore stats that Death cults are strictly female. Sorta like the gangs of Necromunda, Death cults are simple gangs of like minded individuals who relish in death or the dealing of it by the blade. Some death cults are in it for glorifying the Emperor with their skills, some are in it to shed blood in the name of Khorne, and some are in it to sate their own sadomasochism tendancies. In all cases the Inquisition finds them handy to recruit for their unparalleled ability to deal out death at close range. WarriorFish
Kedare is mostly right, I think the models have always been female but this has never been the case in the fluff. I doubt that the Imperium would be willing to recruit cultists who kill in the name of Khorne though... *Furyou Miko
Death Cults as used by the Inquisition and the Ecclesiarchy are always specifically dedicated to the Emperor. Honest. The fact that their rites often recall primitive rituals of hate, rage and bloodlust is simply co-incidence. As far as the original question, male Deat Cultists make an appearance in Malleus by Dan Abnett. The only Death Cultist models officially produced are based off the Inquisitor-scale Death Cultist characters, Severina and Sevora. Presumably, the design team didn't want to try and sculpt a male body in skintight latex. Warsmith Aznable
Imagine how terrible it would be if Khorne didn't care from whence the blood flows, but instead it were simply enough that it flowed... Dosjetka
Oh, I know, but they aren't Severina and Sevora, so they aren't the only female assassin models sculpted by GW ;) Anyway, I'm just nitpicking and teasing, and enjoy it :teehee: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271294-are-deathcult-assassins-always-female/#findComment-3327827 Share on other sites
